As per the promise made in Jonglei state capital Bor when his H.E president officiating a ten room new building of Dr.John Garang's memorial university, we hope the efforts by the ministry of environment to mitigate flood in South Sudan will not involve dredging towards Egypt in favour as planned. In other words, if it involves sale of resources, then it will mark the third corner of better history in South Sudan.

South Sudan Universities Anti-dredging Students network is a body made up from various universities students across the nation, following the alleged sale of Sudd wetland and other rivers around the country through MEMO signed by the two governments. This move by the government of South Sudan and Egyptian government without consultation of experts and general public within the country sparks wide condemnation from almost all over the country, and more especially students. So the body has been formed to represent students body in matters to do with national endowments that are taken for granted. The goal of this body is to engage the government making sure that the natural resources are exploited for the interests of citizens of the republic of South Sudan than in favour of foreign nations. If the government chooses to continue with the deal against experts' recommendations, then students will be forced to seek better solution to the problem. It is good that H.E president has put the matter rest, despite few pockets of personal and cynical interests within the government. Those who are trying hard to collude with Egyptian government over public assets to dredge the rivers are the prime suspects of this body. Therefore, the body is closely watching that the initiated-foreign project does not exist any more.
