A couple notes from doing stand up comedy in the metaverse.
1. Drawing #6 is pretty standard to real life. That was a relief to see. Mind you, I don't care which number I draw, I'm just happy my dad was going after me.
2. I actually did 2 mics, one was at 9PM and the next one was at 10PM.
3. The first show was the one I drew 6, whoever went 3 or 4 had a back and forth heckle incident moment with an audience member. The audience member and a hand full of others were kicked out. I was sad that the crowd was less full. Maybe 40 people in the audience, about 28 after the chunk were walked.
4. I was extremely nervous for the first one. Not going to lie. I was shaking... lmao, I was juggling two controllers, a headset and my phone so I could look at my notes. Did not feel ideal at all but I'm sure there are tricks I'll figure out along the way.
5. I thought I bombed the 1st show. Watched it back, and I actually did have laughs, I just couldn't hear them as I was in the moment.
6. My nerves were so rattled from the 1st appearance, that after taking the headset off and smoking a cigarette, giving myself that short break before having to be there at 10... I did much better! I was way less nervous. It was like riding a bike for the first time and you fell off, blasted your knee off the cement and sat there and cried. But you walked away from the bike, you collected yourself, and this time you rode the bike without fu***ng your knee up. Training wheels are still on, either way.
7. Every last comic I ran into was full of advice and encouragement. I couldn't have had a better first impression. It felt exactly how you'd expect a mic to be ran in the real world. Keep in mind, I haven't been doing stand up comedy for 2 years. Less than 2 years! This is a creative avenue we are going to see what the potentials are, and put ourselves out there.

Congrats to Jake Davis! This could have been the ONLY episode this year! Because half way through recording this episode with Davis at the Elite Pro Wrestling Alliance headquarters, a rigged lighting system came undone and came crashing towards my laptop and mic. We were literally in mid sentence, Davis saw the comet coming at earth and swatted the light fixture away with such quickness, I was so impressed. So listen back to that episode, about half way through you will hear a slight bang noise happen. That's Davis saving the Travis DuFour Show!
We had a blast this year, learned so much about how we want to portray the show moving forward. The technical difficulties didn't stop us and will not be stopping us in 2024.
The early Christmas presents from the team just keep coming! I told them show the people something they may not know I have done! And then they had their AH HA! moment! And I did security for a murderer. The 2023 bingo card is getting wild folks!

Who's the first guest for Season 3 of The Travis DuFour Show? You will find out in January! The show will be exclusive to Spotify for the time being because we simply don't possess the needed hardware to continue doing the show in a live format. But if we don't want the show to completely die, I will be doing in person guest spots like when we had Josh Morningstar, Yi Pak Choi, Jake "The Machine" Davis!
And in spirit of the DuFour Brand, the youtube channel will be getting extra attention this year. A variety show of sorts is being worked on, think the Dick Van D**e show but the Dick is Travis DuFour. The podcast lives on through Spotify and a variety show is coming to YouTube!

What better place for the local release of our new comic than this Friday at a live pro wrestling event?? :D
I asked the team to work on something, anything for the DuFour Brand and the response I got was "Well we are sitting on all this wrestling footage. Let's make another highlight video!" And that's exactly what those rat bastards did! This time, a ladder match. Thank God we don't have footage of the time I was in a barbed wire match. That's all this channel would be! Highlights of that, well enjoy folks! We had a great last two nights of stand up comedy, but now we are bringing you a tasty reel of some of the finest acrobatics the state of Pennsylvania ever saw!
Folks, even more backyard wrestling. If I had this technology back then I'd be posting clips like this all the time. I hated taking bumps on that plywood but at the same time it made feel tough. And I wanted to be fu***ng tough! Please appreciate this move at the end. It's a wonder how Mach 5 didn't break his neck but Ricochet was a top notch backyarder, not known for hurting others in the yard.
Backyard Wrestling footage from Total Championship Wrestling, either 2004 or 2005. This was a classic meeting between two of the most legendary backyarders to ever put grass stains on a pair of jeans! This time, meeting in a rundown garage! The wall was spray painted by every backyarder to come through the territory. TCW was one of the very last backyard wrestling companies in the eastern panhandle, look out for more clips! We have a large library of never before seen backyard wrestling footage.
Hey folks, it's been a hot minute since you've seen an update. The show isn't over! We have guests lined up, hoping to present something to you very soon. For now, I am still hitting mics every week.
