Hey there luvs! ✨ Let's talk about the beautiful duality of self-care – the fine line between comfort and challenge. We associate self-care with all the things that make us feel cozy, warm and supported, bubble baths, a facial, etc.

But self-care isn't just about sweet indulgences. It's also about EMBRACING THE DISCOMFORT THAT COMES WITH GROWTH, the kind of self-care that nudges you out of your comfort zone and into the realm of transformation. SELF-CARE IS DOING THE HARD THINGS in order to care for yourself on a foundational level.

If you are feeling upset or depleted by a conversation with a client, you are entitled to ENFORCE BOUNDARIES. And yes, it will be uncomfortable, but we can be kind and firm. I know we all want to support our clients, but if you need to ask to change the subject for your own mental health, push through the discomfort and do it! If you feel pressured to stay late or come in early for a client, even a beloved one, you can say NO.

No is a beautiful word. It holds power. It protects us. And it's also a COMPLETE SENTENCE.

So, here's to the harmony of self-care – the gentle caress and the empowering push, both grounding you into the incredible, resilient, creative, MAGICAL spirit you are! 💪💕

✨ hello there magical humans! Who else uses their color room as a space to take a breather… and maybe even a SIP OF WATER? (Gasp!)

I used to go through an entire day without drinking a drop of water because:

🅰️ who has the time to hydrate? And…
🅱️ who has the time to p*e? 🤦‍♀️ (IYKYK)

No good luvs! Please 🙏 do yourself the favor of treating yourself as the actual living, breathing, MAGICAL HUMAN you are, who REQUIRES FOOD AND WATER! 🥤🥗😋

Happy Monday luvs! Raise your hand if it’s your favorite day of the week? 🙋‍♀️
It’s a day to rest, recharge and take care of yourself after a busy weekend of tending to everyone else. Burnout is real, and it's okay to feel tired! Your dedication is awe-inspiring, but remember, you deserve self-care too! 🌿💆‍♂️

🌸 Here are a few gentle reminders: 🌸

1️⃣ Self-Care is NOT Selfish: Taking time for yourself isn't selfish; it's essential. Whether it's a day at the spa, a walk in nature, or simply indulging in your favorite book – prioritize your well-being.

2️⃣ Set Boundaries: Learn to say no and establish healthy boundaries. Your time and energy are valuable. Don't be afraid to communicate your limits.

3️⃣ Support System: Surround yourself with positive, understanding people – colleagues, friends, or family. Share your feelings; you don't have to carry the burden alone.

4️⃣ Mindfulness and Relaxation: Incorporate mindfulness techniques, yoga, or meditation into your routine. These practices can help alleviate stress and promote mental clarity.

5️⃣ Celebrate Small Wins: Acknowledge and celebrate your achievements, no matter how small they might seem. Every satisfied client and every beautiful hairstyle is a testament to your talent and hard work.

Remember, your well-being matters. Your creativity shines brightest when you're feeling your best. So, take a step back when needed, breathe, and recharge. Your health and happiness matters! 💖✨
