Tarot with Katy

As I bring balance back to my body I am finding a stronger and healthier connection to to my intuition. I am grateful for all those who have trusted me with their readings. 💜

Samhain - a time when the door between the worlds is opened. The veil between the living and the dead, the past and the future, is at its thinnest. For some it is frightening, but it can be enlightening. Be curious and you never know what might reveal itself. 🌗

Storm came into our lives in August and as we quiet our souls for fall I am grateful for her snuggles and calming presence. There aren’t many tarot cards that feature pets, but these three have special meaning to me. 🐾💖🐾

The pentacles help us understand that wealth, or in the case of the ace of pentacles, abundance, is not always about money. Sometimes abundance is about pausing to recognize the beauty around you.

Hear no, see no, speak no...I am completely behind speaking no evil, but firmly believe in living life with eyes, ears and heart wide open to what is going on around you in order to build a circle that you feel safe in. ⚪️❤️

I read tarot for others, but have many other oracle decks that are near and dear to my heart. Today’s card was The Spider - I Have A Choice. Reminding us that we are the creators of our own lives, solely responsible for the directions we choose. 🕸 If we do not like what we have chosen, we can choose again.

That is the of the Death and Devil cards in the nutshell. Often misunderstood. I think that may be why I love them!

The people in the Devil card are reaching for the light but held firmly in place by their suffering. The key to this card is that they are not actually bound (look closely) - they just believe they are.

And Death, well, it very rarely means actual death. This card is more about the process of letting go. A rebirth. Beauty and magic can come from pain as long as we give ourselves permission to move through it.

Tarot is often misunderstood. I get that. There is no dark magic at play here. Just warm energy. Like the little orb that made it’s way into this shot. 💜
