The AYAC19 campaign aims to push the initiative in getting the vaccine to help stop the spreading of the COVID 19 virus.
Here’s what you need to know:
💉Vaccines can protect you from getting COVID-19 by teaching your immune system to recognize and block the virus that causes COVID-19. Several types of vaccines have been developed and tested in large, ethnically diverse clinical trials by scientists around the world. These vaccines are proven to be very effective at preventing severe disease, hospitalization, and death from COVID-19.
💉Depending on the vaccine, you may need 1 or 2 doses (shots). Due to varying vaccine supply, all of the authorized COVID-19 vaccines may not be available at every location. Our health workers are doing their best to have 1- and 2- dose vaccines on hand. It is proven and therefore we are confident that all of the approved vaccines will offer strong protection against severe COVID-19 illness.
💉If you get a vaccine that requires 2 shots, schedule your 2nd shot 3 to 4 weeks after your first one.
It's essential to get both shots for full protection from COVID-19. You should get the 2nd shot even if you had side effects from the 1st shot unless a doctor or vaccination staff tells you not to.
