Helping you hear God's whispers above the roar of the world
Ohhhhh the struggle is SO real. Just spent 1/2 hour coming up with just the TITLE for a new chapter in my book!! π€ππ Can any of my writer friends relate??

We all wear scars and carry them with us every day. Some are visible, while other scars are hidden in the depths of our souls where only the Lord is able to see them. Our tendency is to hide our scars. They remind us of pain and trouble. But as God heals our wounds, He wants us to share our pain to help others. To give light, comfort, and hope to those around us who are suffering. When we do, we are humbly reminded of God's mercy and healing power in our own lives. And then . . . our scars become beautiful. "God heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds." -- Psalm 147:3
Wishing you a peaceful, restful day today marinating in God's truths for your journey.
Yeah...so...it's SO good for the soul to escape to a place where you can learn, grow, and surround yourself with like-minded people! Spent the past three days at the amazing Hope*Story Conference where I soaked in fantastic breakout sessions and inspiring keynote speakers, INCLUDING the one and only Lysa TerKeurst! Excited to have met some treasured new friends to mutually encourage and support on our writing and speaking journeys. So, so good!

What will people say? What will they think? Do these fears hinder you from stepping into your God-given blessings? PLUG YOUR EARS! Turn a deaf ear to those who say you are not enough. Relish in how much God loves you and claim His promises for you to live your life in freedom, with the assurance of His everlasting love. "Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, 'Don't be afraid; just believe.'" -- Mark 5:36

Done any "brain laundry" lately? When we wash our clothes, we know darker colors are likely to bleed dye when washed. The darker tones transfer onto the light-colored fabrics, which can damage or completly ruin them. Just like splitting up our laundry, so too our thoughts should be separated into lights and darks as a great way to keep our mind in its best condition. Leaving one dark thought among the lights can destroy the whole load! "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." -- Proverbs 4:23
Blessings to you in the coming year!
Ha! Me in my current writing state. Anyone else?! π€£
I love these sentiments from author, Neil Gaiman. And I love what God has to say about mistakes. "For the righteous falls down seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity." --Proverbs 24:16. Mistakes are part of life. They remind us of our limitations and humbly nudge us to depend more on God. Do you dwell on your mistakes or learn from them? Allow your mistakes to push you to grow in wisdom and faith today!

Yaaasss! "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland." Isaiah 43:18-19
Happy New Year!
Yes, He did! You matter. You have impact. You were created with a purpose. God calls us out to make a difference in the world. Even amid our distractions, confusion, anxieties and fears, He is working to fulfill His plan for you and me. Will you trust Him and answer His call? "I cry out to God most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me." -- Psalm 57:2

May we always remember that for many, Christmas is not always "Merry". We can play a part in helping others experience a comforting joy amid difficult circumstances. In the words of Mother Teresa, "It is Christmas every time you let God love others through you." Enjoy this video!
My kind of Christmas tree!! ππβΊοΈπ
