Checked ✅ Thank god for the beautiful clear skies at the last day for a run into sunrise marking the end of a hectic trip, and a symbol to embrace & welcome what's to come after.
12°c, brutal winds, burning lungs, but these sensations remind us that we are all human and it's a blessing to be able to experience all of this. Celebrate for we are alive. Goodbye Beijing 🇨🇳, you have wonderful.
Prototyping, testing, refining, and constantly fighting passionately to find the best way forward that is technically sound, efficient in set up and creatively beautiful has always been a pain and a joy.
Breathtaking.
From travelling up windy roads guarded with cedar forests to having the entire viewing experience with unblocked view fully to ourselves. Being alone, just us .p and Fuji San. The "carpet" of trees across the plains to the mountain is unlike anything we have seen.
It is simply breathtaking.
I think our Japan is nothing like anybody's else's. From missing all the pinned insta locations to simply following our instincts and internal compass. Halfway across Japan and indeed everything that we came across in the most random of places has been the best! Glad to have spent every crazy impromptu moments with you .p .
It's been a long time since I'm completely soaked n dripping in sweat. Getting my gears back in order.
6.5km, 35min
Uncoordinated pinkies. The 2 most important ladies of my life.. ❤️❤️
MR LOH!
After 15yrs of sweat, blood and tears, I can say with pride, we have given it our best, did the impossible and grew into men that we can be proud of.
Looking back, the scars, the frustrations, the fatigue and pain are now fond memories that made us who we are.
In BMT, the changing parade with leopard crawls up and down the stairs scarred me.
In SISPEC, the band of brothers that made everything seems fun even during the daily SBO morning runs around the parade sq.
In OCS as a cross over to HOTEL wing, famous for its insane expectations under Col Fred Cheong, the devilish training for JCC and it's infamous 1000 sit ups made it clear that we can achieve ANYTHING.
Going into Unit at OPFOR, as a 2IC of the coy and doubling up as a PC stretched me extremely thin, but at the same time forced me to grow more tenacious. Handling soldiers from extreme backgrounds to being creative with our weekly outfield battles made staying & fighting outfield seemed second nature.
Lastly, during reservist in 891SIR, we went through ridiculously abnormal trainings. So much so that there were instances where people foamed, fainted, vomited, hospitalised... But as they say tough times make tough men. The past 10yrs have been crazy, but I am glad to have served with these bunch of brothers. Special shout out to my fellow PCs Rahman and Yang Shen for having my back all the time. My PS John and my comds for supporting me in all those times of need. Without them all, the trainings and missions would not have been successful, the reservist would not have been joyful.
Once again, looking back to this 15yrs of journey, I am thankful and grateful to have met all these wonderful people in my life. Having been through the insane trainings that broke all preconceived limits and made me who I am today.
Thank you army, thank you Chalie and lastly, thank you .p for the support, love and understanding when I leave to serve. To protect you and my loved ones is the reason I serve. And even after this obligated service, I'm certain when we are called upon, we will all gather, to protect our home, Singapore.
Thank you god for the soft winds that keep us cool, the warmth embraces from the sunrise and sunset, the peace and serenity that surrounds us and of course for a blessed companion that would do this with me. Amen. ❤️
Kudos to our Jakarta team for surviving my 4days workshop and a challenging 2 weeks of iconic albert's nagginess. 🤐
Hope they recognise our heart and effort. We will be back.
Peace. Thank you god.
When jet lag knocks you down, you get back up and hit back harder! 😎
10km in 1hr. I guess its acceptable.
An amazing work of 3D art that tells so much with every expression on the people's faces. Showing those condemning Jesus and those who hurt together with him.
The 3D art brings the environment out and the context of the crucification process.
Out of the few trips I've been to for work, I have to say Canada has been the warmest(in terms of people) and most welcoming.
It is safe, the people are genuinely nice and extremely professional. Work was at first, just work. But in this trip, I've felt that work became more than just for our clients but for ourselves, a place where real relationships could be built no matter the hierarchy of organizer / vendor, director / worker. At the heart of it all, are people who can move mountains when bonded as one.
So, folks .24 (Franco, Ayman & team) and Bloemendecor (Albert, Melissa & team), thank you all so much for a wonderful job done! If you guys ever drop by SG, I'll bring you guys around to grab all the amazing local food here!
11 degrees, 6am, 5km in a foreign land. The idea of it sounds daunting enough already.
But... how can I miss a once a life time experience?!
So the question is.. "if not now, then when?" So proud of all of us finishers..
All this could not have been possible without a great team that bands together in support of one another. So kudos to our creative team and the production team in all aspects from build and assets creation.
But indeed it is a milestone and a breakthrough for all of us. Discovering new limits and always learning something new along the way.
It's like a full day gym session. But like they say, tough times don't last, tough men do.
And the outcome is exactly how we have envisioned so it's really a pat on our own back for a great job done.
Saying "It has been a long journey" is an understatement. We have all sacrificed so much from the very beginning, pushing boundaries, overcoming limitations, breaking through what we once thought was not possible. But with a great team, passion and dedication. We made what was not possible, possible.
Seeing how our efforts finally paid off makes all the sacrifices worth it.
May we finish strong as the doors open and the conference begin!
Honored to be given the opportunity to receive the award on behalf of the team.
Blood, sweat and soul was sacrificed for the success of the project. But in hindsight, the difficulties faced throughout the project made us stronger, both as a designer and as a person.
Design is easy, good design is not. Good design has to be adaptable, meaningful and approachable, fulfilling the needs of all stakeholders n users tastefully no matter the limitations. And that has been our team's ethos and approach to our projects.
Looking forward to many more good designs to come, not for fame or fortune, but a strong passion to make the world better through design.
Waking up to the sunrise in the comfort of a warm car. Such is life .p
System reset. What a reward after being 5weeks clean. But sadly / fortunately now I can no longer tolerate more than 2 pints. Guess I'm gonna be able to save more now .p 🤣
Wishing all a blessed ★2022★
A new year,
A new challenge,
A better you.
Complimenting your cardio.
There is no ONE ultimate best workout to do. But in fact a mix of exercises, intensities and rotation of body parts will greatly help improve effectiveness in achieving your weight management goals while keeping your body agile and flexible.
Mix up your cardio with weights training and high intensity workouts to see maximum gains.
Cardio do burn lots of calories during the exercise but building muscles with weights training increases metabolism for that "afterburn" which allows you to "do nothing and lose weight".
** Putting things into perspective, my 15min run did not even manage to burn a Macdonald's hashbrown. So, be real to yourself and manage your own expectation of the exercises and efforts you are putting in to reach your goals.
PS: Eat right, Drink well, Rest sufficiently is key.
The daily 3x3 for a new you!
3 basic exercises x 3 sets daily below 30min to kick start your metabolism engine this 2021 so as to finally achieve your weight management resolutions this year!
You don't need fancy equipments, nor good shoes nor costly memberships. All you need at the very beginning is a strong desire and discipline. Unless you are gearing up for the next level or looking for maximum effectiveness, basics are all that you need at the start. There is magic in consistency.
Have heart, push on, I will introduce more exercises periodically to spice up the regimes!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
