Our T, TX, and MX are all examples of fixtures with an IP65 rating, which allows resistance to dusts and liquids. By definition, the International Protection Rating (IP) classifies the degrees of protection provided against the intrusion of solid objects (including body parts like hands and fingers), dust, accidental contact, and water in electrical enclosures.
So, for grow lights, it is an absolutely crucial distinction -- foliar spraying, especially from automatic systems, creates moisture throughout the space, which our lights can withstand with ease! 💪

This type of lighting setup has a number of benefits. Most obviously, it allows growers to jump into the world of LED with a lower cost of entry. The PHOTOBIO•CX 2125 100-277V is a compact high-performance LED fixture with the highest photon output fixture within the PHOTOBIO product lineup. Using Osram/Seoul diodes, this fixture provides highly efficient full spectrum (S4) with a healthy red-to-blue ratio to drive photosynthesis. Light energy between 500–599nm, previously thought wasted, penetrates deeper into the plant canopy promoting photomorphogenic responses 🌱

PAR meters measure the number of photons per square meter per second. The measure is called photosynthetic photon flux density (PPFD) and is measured in µmol/m²/s.
In simple terms, it measures the intensity of light, allowing you to make the adjustments needed for healthy growth! By providing the right amount of light for each growth stage (vegetative or flowering), you can maximize photosynthesis and flower production, resulting in larger and more potent buds. 🌱
Another big reason to get this PAR meter is strain-specific lighting needs. Different cannabis strains may have varying light requirements. Supplementing with some LED lighting 🌱
Like some others we've worked with, this facility uses a mixed spectrum lighting setup with the TX to achieve their desired results! So, why might someone choose to use a mix of LED and HPS?
The first significant benefit is the cost — sometimes, you may not want to jump all the way into the world of LED, especially if your existing systems still work and you can save money by avoiding the up-front cost. Additionally, the significant amount of heat radiated by HPS and the relatively cool operation of LED can help you achieve a balanced climate in a hybrid lighting environment throughout the seasons. For example, in colder months the heat from HPS lighting can offset HVAC use.
The next benefit comes from the lighting spectrum possibilities: When you look at PAR (photosynthetically active radiation) – the blue, green, and red range on the spectrum – only around 6% of the light from HPS lamps is blue light. By providing very little blue light, HPS lamps are depriving plants of a critical wavelength that controls growth.
Suppose you would like to promote more compact growth with blue light — adding customizable LEDs to your facility would allow you to achieve this! If you wanted to induce fruiting by introducing more red and far-red light, this would be easily possible with a hybrid lighting solution that includes customizable LEDs like the TX!
The TX is ideal for large indoor facilities, with a slim design that packs a powerful punch with unrivaled longevity. With easy daisy-chain capabilities between fixtures, you can fill out an entire room of this size using only a small few power sources ⚡️
