I’m just getting back to work after 3 years as a stay-at-home mom, it’s been quite a change of routine for us as a family but somehow we manage. There are huge challenges both as a stay-at-home mom and as a working mom… now that I’ve experienced both sides of the coin. I feel a lot more squeezed for time now but also much more organized with my day.

I’m feeling so happy and fulfilled now in more aspect of my life but I do miss our lazy unscheduled and carefree days… One thing that remains the same is the need for easy meals that Layla will eat and enjoy! If you’re a full-time mom or working mom give yourself a pat on the back and a break from cooking. Try these!

Layla has been super interested in bumblebees lately so I prepped these paper cut outs and Luke and Layla created some cute and crazy bees! The one top left is my personal fav! 😍

Where did my baby go?! They really do grow up fast! So mama if you’re snuggling a fussy newborn right now, mashing a banana purée or changing another diaper… just soak in those tiny baby moments. It’s hard to process how quickly you go from mama to mommy and then to mom… but we’re here. She calls me “mom” now and my baby isn’t a baby.♥️

Inspired by all the cute back to school ideas I’ve been seeing on here! We decorated our little playhouse today and made it into the cutest little classroom! 🍎✏️

Celebrating Luke’s birthday 🎉🌴 The food, the atmosphere and that key lime pie!😋

My hubby deserves the biggest award for being the best husband & dad in the world! Another birthday filled with so much love & laughter. Layla couldn’t wait to dig into that birthday cookie and sing him happy birthday this morning. Someday I’ll surprise him with a Jeep for his birthday… but till then we’ll make sweet memories and enjoy the ride! ❤️

Using our cute painted shells today in a Baby Shark themed sensory bin! 🐚🦈

We painted these shells with markers and then let them sit in the sun to dry. They make a nice sensory bin filler & scooper!

On July 20, 1969, American astronauts Neil Armstrong & Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin became the first humans ever to land on the moon!

Layla and I created salt dough moons and painted them with acrylic paint. She wanted a pink moon, grey moon and “all the colors!” 🌚

The salt dough recipe I use is super easy: 4 cups flour, 1 cup salt & 1 1/2 cups warm water. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour.

We had such a relaxing Sunday! I made Luke & Layla breakfast in bed and then we packed up and headed to the beach! We collected these pretty shells and then came home & used our new paint markers to decorate them! I think I’ll paint the inside gold and add some glitter or sequins… what do you think? ✨

I’d love to make something for Layla’s new room using these painted shells… we will really miss the beach and all the memories we’ve made there! Any ideas what I could do with these little beauties?🐚🌊
