I still need to read a book by Amanda Cox. 😁 This is a great recommendation for both authors!
"I'm perfectly fine. Thank you for your assistance, Davis. You've come to my rescue once again." To his surprise, she gave him a quick hug.
For all that she might play with snakes and not cry over tragedies and be comfortable doing her own shooting, she was still every inch a woman. Heat crept up his face."
Ah, Meg. The woman who.kerps everyone on their toes. Especially Davis. He couldn't stand the overbearing woman. At first. Perhaps he changed his mind ....😁
Let me go on record as saying that I love books by .q.hunt.author The faith and redemption elements are SO strong. As you can see above, the romance is impactful yet understated. And the characters connect and deal with real life.
Plus with every book I read, I feel a bit smarter. At least I learn lots of things. This one tackled the Scopes Trial, the K*K, a woman journalist and even an airport. But the facts weave themselves into a great book.
I do recommend that you read "Through Thorny Ways" first - book 1 in the Wisteria House series. But you could still appreciate this book on its own. I did get to read in advance copy, but then my paperback arrived earlier this week. ❤️ Classy historical fiction! Paperbacka are available now, and the Kindle comes out next week.
Double Take by has been available for one week now.
Have you ordered it? Have you already read it? Word to the wise: Not a book that you should start at night, or you might not sleep. 🤷😏😂
This title is the first book in the series. So you don't have to read anything else first to follow the storyline. You can jump right in. And as I already mentioned, once you start reading it, you won't be able to put it down. It's so good!!!!

PS I did get to read an advanced copy of this book through
1921
"Fall erupted over Schonbrunn Palace, ushering in more than a simple change to the air. Adelheid raced up the stone steps from the gardens, breathless from a victorious game of hide-and- seek. For once, she'd finally bested her older brother. She couldn't wait to share her win with Mama and Papa, who always reminded her. She was a Habsburg. And Habsburgs were strong."
And so begins a wonderfully written fictional title involving tracking a rare jewel through one century across two continents. There are so many layers to this title! I could read the book again right away to catch the details that I missed along the way. How random characters connect and how the details unfold is fascinating. A beautiful start to a new series with an original storyline. The title contains all of the elements (history, mystery, adventure, romance, faith) that are needed to set up a sensational story for me. What spoke to me the most was the growth and transformation of the characters. Truly enjoyable!!!
This gem of a book releases tomorrow. A big thank you to and for letting me read an early copy of this wonderful book. I can't wait to read the rest of this intriguing series. All opinions in this post are my own.
PS The newspaper clippings are from an actual article found in "The Evansville Journal" on September 16, 1923.
I loved this book and will be sharing more about it in the coming days. If you enjoy learning about a variety of historical events in the context of well- written fiction, this is also the book for you. Finished this one in less than 24 hours because I couldn't put it down!

Now on to 500 ... That's what I need to make it to the next level. But that might take awhile. 😂
Happy reading!
"The click next to her ear je**ed her out of a deep sleep to roll into a sitting position, a scream on her lips, her eyes on the man with the gun standing next to her. “Adam? What are you doing?
And so begins one of the most complex and unpredictable thrillers that I ever read. The book kept me guessing almost to the very end. If you enjoy romantic suspense, you definitely need to read this book. Since it released today, you don't even have to wait. Check out the second picture to find out all the places where the book is available. I always enjoy books by But this one was stupendous.
PS I was a part of a launch team and did read the book in advance, thanks to My longer review is up and can be read on many sites. A few are still posting.
"Our lives are so fragile. Maybe it's by design, so we look to God."
Happy book birthday to I have read almost all of her books and have enjoyed every one. But I think this one might be my favorite.
The story involves a family secret recently brought to light. The focus of the plot is a historical item of value. There is plenty of suspense, family drama and surprises. More than that, there is plenty of faith and forgiveness to guide through tough circumstances. All of this is beautifully woven together to create a fantastic book.
I actually listened to this book through The narrator brought the story to life in a beautiful way. Reading the pages would also be enjoyable! So glad I could enjoy this one in advance. You can now read it listen to the book as well!

I look forward to all of the possibilities that turning a page on a new calendar year. For me, reading through the Bible is now always a part of my plans! So I am always looking for great resources to support this quest.
"Know your Bible: Daily Devotions for Women" by Tracy M. Sumner fits those parameters. This book is available in hardcover. Each daily devotional connects to the corresponding Scripture passages that are included at the bottom of each page. If you have been wanting to read through the Bible, this method would be easy to follow.

These shorter stories connect to characters in the previous full length novels in the reboot collection. I enjoyed seeing familiar faces again - the books are connected but yet original! I think if you read the originals first, you will appreciate and be surprised by these next novellas even more. My hope is that some of the new characters that were introduced will be featured in the new novels that will be published in 2024 by
“Don’t get dead.” Andrew Bishop glanced up at the newbie, Joseph Caruso, and shook his head. “We don’t need a slogan.” His attention dropped to his laptop, where he was working on the final notes of the protection detail the Defensemen Agency had been hired for."
This may not sound like a Christmas read, but it is full of fun festivities featuring friends & family. The
unpredictable elements and case of mistake identity adds interest and intrigue to this holiday novella. There are still plenty of feels too!
This start to a new series by
is such a wonderful read! "Visiting" New York City at Christmas was so enjoyable! I highly recommend this book!
Excited to get to read this book as one of my last reads of the year! I will be sharing some graphics about Double Take by in the next few weeks.
So make a prediction with me ...do you think her attacker is dead? My guess is probably not. But at least Itr should know the answer by the end of the book. 😂

"Granted, any risk was more than she could tolerate, but that was hard to explain to people. They called her a pessimist. They thought her too fearful. They argued she ought to have more faith. And maybe she should. But she'd seen so many bad things happen that she'd learned to expect more around every turn."
Piper knows she is accident prone. And her family has had its fair share of struggles. So having faith over fear is hard for her. She even sacrificed the love of her life over concerns that something might happen to him.
Grahan didn't understand why their relationship ended. But he knows that he misses her. When she finally needs his help, he's more than willing to be there for her. Can she learn to trust God even in the midst of trouble?
I definitely enjoyed this sweet romance by This title has all of the Christmasy feels. But more than that, this book reminded me that I can trust in Jesus no matter the circumstances. A few parts of the book were a bit predictable, but for the most part, the plot was an original one. Another great book in the Freedom Ridge series. Thank you to Emily for letting me read an advanced copy. Always want to read her books. All opinions in this post, as well as in my reviews, are my own. And I definitely recommend this one.
PS My t-shirt from Freehouse Apparel provided the perfect backdrop for this book set in the Colorado mountains. It even fits the book's theme of faith over fear. Such a great message!
Have you read any of the "Everyday Love" series by I really enjoyed the four books in the series. So I was quite excited to read the two companion Christmas novellas. Both of them happen to involve single mothers who find love again. With themes of grace and mercy, the positive message will put you in the Christmas mood!
This fall, I enjoyed reading a few series including this one. I loved the "Everyday Love" books by
You will enjoy these titles as well if ...
-You appreciate genuine characters who have real life struggles and concerns.
-You like books with overlapping characters.
- You appreciate faith being part of the focus
-You enjoy clean, sweet romances with plenty of feeling
-You like books that will cause you to laugh loudly in one moment and choke up in the next.
While the books would work as standalone titles, I do recommend reading them in order. They connect in a beautiful way.
"Grace Percy had always dreamed of being part of a dashing pursuit of some villain; she'd just never imagined doing so in a gondola with a complete stranger."
Have you read any of Grace and Freddie's historical adventures? I am planning on catching up with them soon in one of my favorite places ... Italy. I have really enjoyed these historical mysteries by that contain plenty of adventure and a bit of comedy. I have read a bit so far and can confirm that this book will be the same. I will update this post once my review is up!
"And I knew the people who had the most reason to hate me were also the ones who never would have needed me to explain why I left. They would have packed my bags and cheered me on. Which made it all the more unforgivable that I hadn't told them. That I hadn't said goodbye."
Brynn never intends on returning to her childhood town. But due to complications of her own making, she has no choice. Her town liaison makes it clear that he is not a fan. Well, she doesn't like him either. What will it take for Brynn and Sebastian to discover that they don't hate each other after all.
Be prepared to laugh often and maybe cry a bit in this latest book by As with all of her books, there are plenty of one liners, movie and TV quotes, some snark and plenty of heart. What makes me excited about this one is the fact that there are going to be a few sequels too. I definitely recommend it if you enjoy rom-coms!
"Sometimes love finds you where you are, and other times it meets you across distant shores
as four women discover in these four historical stories linked by a shared gold pendant."
This novella collection is set in four different time periods and locations.
More than Gold by is set in New South Wales, Australiia in 1851.
The Veil by is set in Baltimore in 1877.
Running from Love is by Angela K Couch is set in Canada in 1905
Lauren's Song by
is set in the Outer Banks in 1942.
I really enjoyed this collection. Definitely well researched and fascinating fiction set at different points in history. But my complete review is only up for the last novella which I read early. I hope to remedy that soon. For now, trust me that it is worth reading.
" The trail is a loop, and it'll take about an hour by horseback. It needs to Wildflower falls and Stillwater creek, then through the pasture and back to the barn eventually. I'd like to add a lunch option to the trail ride, but we'll put that on hold until I can afford more help."
Charlotte wants to keep her mom's legacy alive. Running a horse farm is harder work than she anticipated. She also knows that there's more to her story. Finding connection requires forgiveness and vulnerability. Is she willing to take a risk?
This contemporary sweet romance is a bonus in the Riverbend series by There are overlapping characters from the first three books. This is an enjoyable book with fall feels.
Today is the perfect day for leftovers. For the first time ever, my family ate out for Thanksgiving with my in-laws. Since they moved earlier this week, they decided that was easier. But I'm missing being able to peek into my fridge for homemade favorites. So tonight or Monday, I am planning on preparing a with many of the same favorites.
In the meantime, I am sharing some of my leftover posts. There were many books that I read this fall that I haven't shared about. Between leading a Bible study, grad school, taking biblical counseling classes, MOPS and teaching, I'm a bit tired. While I have enjoyed plenty of books, I haven't had a chance to share about them yet. Today is the day before I move into Christmas books next week.
I hope you had a great Thanksgiving! Grateful to get to share book suggestions with bookstagram friends!
Next week, I will officially start reading Christmas books. BUT when asked for ARC readers for her latest book, I quickly signed up. (I am a FAN of her books!) While this book does have Christmas cheer, I think it could be enjoyed all year round. I certainly loved it! My reviews will be coming soon.
Until then ...
What is the last book that you read in less than a day?
You can have an honorary gold star. 😁⭐
"Technically, I wasn’t crashing the wedding. The invitation had been addressed to both of us. Just because my husband had moved out on me and my boys didn’t mean I couldn’t come."
And so begins an absolutely wonderful story that is both heartbreaking and redemptive at times. I absolutely loved this book that was about a marriage needing to be restored. The scenes were relatable, especially the busyness that comes with having little children, and parts were even convicting in all of the best ways. Communicating in marriage is hard. Letting others in, even those that we love the most, is challenging. I highly, highly recommend this book for anyone who is married or wants to be that way someday. Of course, it doesn't reflect every story that is out there, but it could definitely provide courage for someone who wants to try again.
PS I was provided with an advanced copy of this book. But I also bought a copy. This one is definitely a keeper.
"The one difficulty with having the name Sunshine is that people expect me to be ...well, sunshine all the time. I've learned over time to embrace the sunshine-ness that is my name. Yes, I may not always be joyful or exuberant all the time, but I've learned that if I rely on my friends, my family, and my faith, I can conquer each day, head on and live every moment with an expectation of goodness."

I discovered a new author in August. From the first chapter in book 1, I became a fan for life. I didn't just read her books - I inhaled them. So sharing the titles with all of you is long overdue.
Flawed characters in need of redemption. A God who is big enough to transform every circumstance. Romance with reality. Some suspense, especially in the first and second books. All four of the Truly Together series overlap. I highly recommend reading all of them in order. Just set aside a bit of time because you might also not be able to stop reading once you start.
The second picture shows the prequel that is available to newsletter subscribers. This cute book introduces some of the other characters. Truly Together puts the spotlight on some secondary characters. And it fits in well with the rest of the books.
Have you read any of Kara's books? Which one is your favorite ? My favorite was always the one that I was reading currently. 😁 All of my reviews are up on Goodreads. (The Amazon reviews are pending.) Just in case you want to know more about the books. Also all of the books are on Kindle unlimited.
"Christmas was coming, and she had no desire to celebrate, but the pine smell of the tree and sparkling lights had lifted the weight of depression -at least a little."
Cassidy wants to find out the truth about her cousin's death. As a detective, other cases are seeming odd to her as well. Will she be able to investigate without getting herself killed? And can she convince her frenemy that she really can be trusted?

So great to read another "Deputies of Anderson County" book. I have really enjoyed this series by So even though I do not read many Christmas books this early in December, I made an exception for one of her books.
How about you? Since today is November 1st, do you have Christmas music playing now? That won't happen here until after Thanksgiving. Well, regardless of whether you read it now or in December... You will want to read this book. Glad that I was provided with a copy. My unbiased review will be up tomorrow.
