Yesterday, the Assembly Budget Committee convened on the proposed 2023-2024 Fiscal Year Budget for the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMAVA). Officers of the American Legion Department of New Jersey were present as Brigadier General Hou gave remarks and answered questions from Members of the New Jersey General Assembly as well as the Office of Legislative Services (OLS). The Senate Budget Committee convened 15 days prior on April 4, 2023.
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Russell βRussβ Samano β¦ he was heavily involved with the American Legion at the Post, County, and Department level for many years, and will be dearly missed.
Funeral Mass will be held at the Parish of All Saints (621 Dock St, Millville, NJ 08332) on Friday (3/3/23) at 11:00 am. His services will be held at Barr Funeral Home located at 2104 East Main Street, Millville, New Jersey 08332, on the following dates and times:
β Friday (3/3/23) β 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
β Saturday (3/4/23) β 9:30 am - 10:30 am
Graveside services will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Millville on Saturday (3/4/23) at 12:15 pm.
Obituary for Russell M. Samano at Barr Funeral Home Russell M. Samano died February 26, 2023, at the age of 82. He was the son of the late Russell Samano, Sr. and Helen Werba Samano. Following graduation from Millville High School in 1958, he worked for several years for Armstrong Cork Co. Taking time out in the early 1960s
