Introducing solids to your infant is an exciting milestone. Baby can begin eating solid foods at about 6 months old. By the time he or she is 7 or 8 months old, baby can eat a variety of foods from different food groups. These foods include infant cereals, meat or other proteins, fruits, vegetables, grains, yogurts and cheeses, and more.

When we are ready to introduce solids to baby, think of solid foods as a "bonus" food as the main calories and nutrients intake will still be coming from human milk or formula.

Here’s a tip, give your baby the milk formula or breast milk first thing in the morning, before or after meals, and before bedtime.
In the beginning, you'll have to experiment to find what works best for your baby. If they're a big drinker, feed them first with food and then with a bottle. If they're a moderate drinker, try the opposite.
