Spontaneous Mud Play!
•Encouraging children to interact with their natural environment ♥️
•Today we found dirt from our yard, sand from our outdoor sandpit, water and leaves that were found on our yard floor.
The children deciding for themselves on when and how the play will occur and making their own decisions for materials.

Last week we celebrated Naidoc Week in our room.
Lots of paintings, making our own card memory games with symbols, sensory play and lots more.
The children throughly enjoyed this experience and learning about the cultures and history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
With mixed ages from 9 months - 4 Years.

When you go Op Shopping for your little friends so they can enjoy some fun resources and use their imaginations.
Who knew old kitchen products could be so fun!
Today we made cakes, milkshakes and learnt how to scoop, strain and shake sand.

This week we will be celebrating our Family Daycare with a special morning picnic throughout our week along with a theme for the day and some fun craft/games!
Family Daycare is not only a special part to myself as an educator but also as a mother.
We are lucky to have these amazing educators in our communities that welcome families into their homes an create beautiful environments for children to learn and grow. ♥️

My little friends have been very busy this week getting their letters ready to send off to Mr Easter Bunny 🐰🤭

Why is cleaning important in childcare?
The aim to cleaning your environment is to help minimise the number of germs and infections that could spread throughout your room.
Having little babies from 6 months they tend to put things in their mouths frequently so by practicing good hygiene and implementing daily cleaning of equipment/toys we can reduce the spread.
It’s important to make your families know that their child/ren are coming into care with a clean environment and can see this as they enter your room.
One thing I’ve learnt over the years from starting in a center base to then having my own business is that having a clean and tidy environment for your children means everything!

What is Family Day Care?
Family Day Care is where a child is educated in a small group setting in a family style atmosphere at an educator’s home.
Seeing the same educator each day along with other children of all different ages.

A great little activity to help toddlers with their Gross Motor Skills and burn some extra energy off 😁
Our little set-up this morning was a hit with everyone! ☀️🤗
Practicing and following directions as this is a big thing we are focusing on lately with the little age group I have.
This will be set up on our driveway all week to practice and see how much we’ve grown since day one.
