In the spirit of remaining transparent and educating our community. I have something’s to share with you in regard to our fight for Shawn legally.

Slide 1. Is from a previous law firm that we unknowingly trusted. We ended up being lied to, fronted $30,000 of our own money, and they tried to push us into settling. Then ultimately dropped us as clients in the middle of the case because we “asked too many questions”. They looked me in my face and told me the Kaiser case was bust because their medical expert, which they claimed was an ER expert said so

Slide 2. Makes CLEAR that the medical expert they claimed was an ER expert, clearly felt otherwise about herself . She clearly states she does not have sufficient emergency medicine training. Yet, her review is what our previous lawyers relied on to tell us we had no case.

Slide 3-4. Is the official review that was submitted in arbitration from the medical expert our final and trusted lawyers found for us. He was able to point out FOUR different deviations from standard of care which directly resulted in Shawn’s tragic passing. This expert has SUFFICIENT ER and Sepsis care experience !

Keep in my mind, I am not posting this for revenge. This is simply to bring AWARENESS & make sure you all understand the MANY layers of these broken systems. Clearly it’s not just medicine, it’s also the judicial system, predatory lawyers, for profit lawyer and medical expert’s. And corruption across each layer, and who do you think this affects the most ?? THE PATIENTS & FAMILIES!!

Shawn should be here, and it’s sad that this injustice was swept under the rug due to technicalities of the system. Loop holes that were purposely put in place to protect medical facilities and politicians, while keeping lawyers PAID!! These are the injustices that are taking place everyday and being overlooked!!!

This is why we need you present on NOVEMBER 3rd at Kaiser San Leandro at 2pm‼️ It’s one thing to fight for better circumstances for health care workers. But let’s not forget that those workers have NO JOB without the PATIENTS! Help us create BETTER circumstances for ALL patients , help us FIGHT FOR CHANGE!

Brejai was a 26 year old mother who lost her life due to medical negligence at Kaiser San Leandro. Brejai was given a medication that due to her previous diagnosis, caused her heart to stop. Had medical personnel cared, not written her off, and gave her the PROPER treatment, we believe Brejai would be here today.

To be a mother to her son, a daughter to her parents, and a big sister to her siblings. Help us fight for Brejai, be there November 3rd as we SAY HER NAME, bring awareness,

One day after Brejai’s birthday it has been made abundantly clear that her death was completely preventable. Huge deviations from the standard of care and a clear lack of HEART for someone in need. Brejai was written off, ignored, and left to die despite her critical condition.

SHE SHOULD BE HERE. needs to be held accountable‼️

These are the cries of a mother who lost her new born daughter during child birth at a Kaiser facility in Riverside, Ca. Something that the family believes was completely preventable. Ellie Luna Mares, please never forget that name. Her family, her loving parents are FIGHTING for Justice and accountability!! Please stand with us as we fight with them, advocate for them and bring awareness to yet another tragedy at the hands of a purposely broken medical system. Today we come to you to share a different story. It may not align with medical negligence but it perfectly aligns with the purposely broken systems we have been calling out. Please take the time to read to the story of Angel Brod who passed at the VERY young age of 14yrs old. This story is shared by her older sister.

“Angel was a vibrant and loving human. Bold, brave and colorful. She was the silliest person you could ever meet. We lost Angel to su***de 5 year’s ago when she was only 14yo. Her passing brought to light our worst worries and suspicions. As an infant, Angel was removed from her family home (by Oregon DHS) and adopted by nextdoor neighbors. When she was only 6yo, she confided to a cousin that her adoptive mother’s father was being sexually abusive towards her. Her adoptive mother responded by keeping Angel from seeing biological family and calling Angel a liar. Police and social workers consistently ignored/dismissed reoccurring reports expressing concern for Angel’s and her adoptive sister’s safety.

I am Angel’s biological sister, and I am seeking Restorative Justice for the negligence and crimes against Angel. As a Native American, I do not believe the outcomes of decisions made by Oregon DHS were unintended, as Angel is not the only family we have lost this way (first to DHS and then to su***de). This “legal” human trafficking of our children must end. “

Change4Shawn stands with Angel and her sister Aya, who is fighting for Justice. There is a long standing history of native children being ripped from their families, forced to live a life that’s not natural to them, and face horrendous events that have more often than not led to their passing. Angel was a beautiful young woman with so much life ahead of her. Please stand with her family and us as we advocate for Angel and much needed change within our systems. DHS is supposed to protect children, yet they have failed so many.

We are calling out to the Native/Indigenous community for support & to advocate and uplift your stories and out cries as well! 💕✊🏽
