I feel I need to post the following so that you are getting it right from the horses mouth. This school board race is getting a tad out of hand. I want to be on record so there is no confusion on where I stand. Gabe Kolesari has been a life long leader in our great community. Everything from the school board to the VFW, to now local business owner and I respect his life long dedication of public service. Even though I dont agee with everything Gabe has to say and I do support fresh ideas and change, I will not allow for people to think there is anything in common with Gabe and the Waukesha Parade murder. When I was asked to endorse the new candidates for the local school board my endorsement came from having met the candidates, having listened to thier views which in many ways aligned with mine and the voters that brought me to office as well as with giving them advice on how the election process works. It was then a month later that I would be asked to endorse. It has been brought to my attention of a post asking what Gabe Kolesari and the parade murder have in common. I will tell you they have nothing in common and I will not support this kind of nonsense. I believe in conservative values but I will not support character assassination or misrepresentations that somehow Gabe has things in common with the waukesha parade murder or that he makes the type of decisons that Judge or John Chislom have made. It is with that that I'm pulling my endorsements as I do not and will not stand for that or any other kinds of comparisons of those in nature. Change, bringing fresh ideas, and running on your ideas that you can bring to the school board is one thing, but these kind of ridiculas attacks I do not support on a man that has given his life to public service, a fellow veteran, and a local business owner. I'm no one's puppet and have always been and will always be my own man.

Hello everyone!!
I was interviewed by Eileen M. Schmidt for The Freeman this past week. Here are the questions they posed along with my answers. The election is fast approaching (April 6th) and I thank you for your support. If you would like a yard sign I have new stock available please message me.
Why did you decide to run for trustee?
That is a great question, and my answer is I have spent my life serving people. For well over 22 years, I served this Nation and State in the military both at home and abroad. I have never been a person that likes to sit idle or on the sidelines. I can positively impact our Village Board and serve the community and its needs with Integrity, Selflessness, and Personal Courage. I love being in the trenches and being part of solutions and decisions that are for the betterment of all. The Village of Sussex is special; it comprises of caring neighbors, inclusivity, thriving schools, great green spaces, and is a safe community. Plain and simple, I want to give back for all the community has given me.
What leadership qualities would you bring to the board?
My time spent in the Service has allowed me to develop a wide variety of leadership qualities. The most important quality is standing up for what is right. The decisions made at the Board level have to be made for the betterment of the Village and its constituents every time. As our Village President has stated in passing conversations, all decisions need to be made with the thought process of: "How does this decision positively benefit the Village." I couldn't agree more with that philosophy, and that is how I plan to lead, always placing community first.
What issues relating to Sussex do you feel will be important to focus on in the coming term? Are there specific ideas or thoughts you have for the board and village that you would like to implement?
First, we need to ensure our residents and businesses have what they need as we bounce back from this pandemic. We need to ensure if there are resources and aid at our level available that we get those resources and aid distributed ASAP. Secondly, we need to ensure as we continue to grow the Village with residential and commercial developments, we are doing so responsibly. Policy needs to be in place to secure the Villages' financial future and critical infrastructure needs. We do not want to be in a position that burdens the Village Taxpayer years down the road. The Board needs to ensure we are doing the hard work to ensure our financial strength when the Village's capacity is reached. Thirdly, as I stated in the Milwaukee Journal, I would like to look at policy that aids, strengthens, and attracts new businesses. I would support a Business Improvement Development team as other communities have in place.
Is there anything else you would like our readers to know?
I believe in completely transparent, effective governing and believe that elected officials should represent the people's voice and the will of those that put him or her there. I believe in law and order and supporting our law enforcement/emergency services to keep our community safe. My leadership is proven, and believe me, when I say wrong ideas, excessive spending, and poor policy that does not benefit the community will be challenged. I will stand up for what is right and be a strong voice for our community.
Beautiful day and we are out hitting the pavement. So nice to talk with so many people today. Please Vote April 6th and bring Balance & Community back to the Village Board of Sussex.

Good morning Sussex!! The election is just weeks away and I really need your support. Again, please message me if you would like a yard sign and I will personally run them out to you. Thanks again for all your support, and I look forward to bringing Community and Balance to the Village Board on April 6th.
