The surrealist painting draws inspiration with Mindoro's countless blessings, one of it are the Tamaraw's. It high-lights that taking pride in them is more than just being "proud" of their identity. It's genuine form lies in appreciating them as riches not to be coveted by anyone but to be safeguarded. It unfolds by also protecting the aspects critical to its existence-the Mangyans, vanguards of the balance in nature; and Mt. Iglit-Baco Natural Park, their home. lastly, it takes shape in their embodiment in the hearts of Mindoreños, in every Filipino, who strives to survive in this ever-challenging world.
