By giving yourself more time to plan and prepare, you increase your chances of success.
Sport is an area where the mind plays a fundamental role. Okay, genetics and physicality are important, but without a mind of steel, top athletes don't stay at the top level for long. It is necessary to have a good dose of motivation, a mental of steel and especially a lot of patience and perseverance.
Discipline, Motivation, Patience and Intelligence in order. While waiting for success, do not forget to enjoy life. Here is my advice

Meeting between Enduroman # 31 and Enduroman # 50. Happy to have seen Thomas Ostré, an outstanding athlete that I wanted to meet to have a feedback after his Enduroman, and I assure you that he is doing very well, he has already started his new preparation for 2023 or full of new challenges waiting for him. I had the honor to participate in his Enduroman twice, the first time in his preparation of swimming in the sea in Wissant ( Defides2caps association) and the second time as an observer of the bike part between Calais and Paris where he established a new record of 11h46 for the discipline

Challenge of the 2 Capes
30 kms of swimming between the Cap Griz Nez and the Cap Blanc Nez.

Clément will cross the English Channel in 2023.
I will accompany him throughout this period in his preparation and during his crossing.

The 2022-2023 season has just begun, with big months of training ahead of us, many of you will be trying new challenges, competitions and adventures.
With a little more time available this year I am returning to my core business, personal trainer, sports, mental and dietary training, an activity I have been doing for 30 years.
For this year, in addition to the organisation of the defides2caps with my friend Arnaud Chassery from June to October in Wissant and my activity as a physical and mental trainer, we will accompany you during your training sessions at sea and/or during your challenges.
We have set up 6 Swims Camps: March 2023: Swim Camp Salou, Spain. April 2023: Swim Camp Miami, Florida, USA. May 2023: Swim Camp Archipel des Glenant, France. June 2023 : Swim Camp Defides2caps with Arnaud Chassery, Wissant, France. July 2023: Swim Camp Lac Leman, Publier, France. September 2023: Swim Camp Miami.
For the personal trainning we are in Paris.
For your sea training we travel to France, England and Spain.
We continue to work with the Enduroman team from June to October 2023.

The observation 😬😚
The English Channel 1, Nino 0 😬. For my fifth crossing of the Channel a small galley, 4 hours of swimming and a few minutes with a shoulder that made us suffer to the extreme after 2 hours there was a decision to stop in order to avoid major problems and compromise the end of the season.
Médical check-up :
Partially frozen shoulder with a lot of pain, no tearing or calcification
probably due to overtraining
rest 15 days, kine and infiltration
normally everything will be fine
Cardiac test is ok 😬
The rest a good swell and waves with winds between 15 and 20 knots sometimes, something almost usual in the Channel.
Failure?, Injury?, trot of self-confidence?, bad day?, everyone can opine but life goes on and we are already preparing for the next crossing at the beginning of October
Score between The Channel and Nino, 3-2, three crossings, 2 failures, business to follow.

NINO est hors de danger sur le Sea Satin. Des vives douleurs à l’épaule l’ont contraint à jeter l’éponge. Il passera des examens à l’hôpital de Calais à la mi journée. Next time…

Nino s’est élancé pour sa nouvelle tentative de traversée de la Manche. À son actif, il en totalise déjà 3, dont une en solo, une dans le cadre de l’Enduroman Events, une en relais avec son ami Arnaud Chassery.

Last days of training in family and in altitude in the Haute Savoie, France. Swimming at Lake Leman and Lake Montriond, 17 degrees in the water.
Jogging and walking in Bernex, 2000 meters altitude.

First English Channel of the year from 3 to 7 September with Michael Oram and Lance Oram from CS&PF

< 21 days and continuous training how each day between the Two Caps, Gris Nez and Blanc Nez. Our back up base has been established at Nino and Defides2caps in the 2 Caps Training Centre in Wissant.

Nino est à quelques minutes de son départ pour cet Everest de la natation 🏊🏽‍♂️: Les 20 ponts de l’île de Manhattan🌇. Soit environ 46 km dans une eau à 16 degrés.

We are here and we are ready 🤗
Tomorrow will be a great day, I will try to swim around Manhattan, 48 kms in a water at 19 degrees, winds announced between 15 and 25 kms and clouds combined with the Sun.
If I arrive I will be the first Cuban, also the first Franco-Cuban 😜 and one of the first French to have done it.
After 10 months of training finally that the date of the first challenge of the season arrives in 14 hours now.
For the team it will be reduced and in family, it will be with my sister Aimee Fraguela ❤️💪 and a kayaker for the supplies.
Now I only have to swim😬

The countdown starts tomorrow, week < 9 of the first challenger, 20 Bridges Manhattan The team is setting up, the logistics too. SWIM CAMP FRANCE 2ème édition !

Vous souhaitez mieux connaitre la nage en mer, en eau froide, préparer votre traversée de la Manche ou une épreuve en eau libre ? Le stage du Défi des 2 Caps est fait pour vous !

Des cours théoriques vous sont proposés afin de vous préparer et réussir votre projet. Vous pourrez bénéficier d'une reconnaissance des zones piégeuses et une expertise des courants de la Manche. Vous nagerez entre le Cap Gris Nez et le Cap Blanc Nez, zone d'arrivée des traversées de la Manche.

Vous pourrez valider le test des 6 heures pour un solo dans la Manche ou des 2 heures pour un relais.

Cette année, deux dates vous sont proposées : du 27 au 29 mai et du 3 au 5 juin 2022. N'hésitez pas à nous contacter pour plus d'informations !

Do you want to learn more about swimming in the sea, in cold water, to prepare for your Channel crossing or an open water event? The Défi des 2 Caps course is made for you!

Theoretical courses are offered to you in order to prepare and succeed in your project. You will be able to benefit from a reconnaissance of the tricky zones and an expertise of the currents of the Channel. You will swim between Cap Gris Nez and Cap Blanc Nez, arrival area for Channel crossings.

You can complete the 6 hour test for a solo in the Channel or the 2 hour test for a relay.

This year, two dates are available: May 27 to 29 and June 3 to 5, 2022. Do not hesitate to contact us for more information!

Julien Deneyer vient de boucler Le Défi des 2 Caps en 5h42 😳 Un an après le lancement de ce défi, il devient le recordman de l'épreuve 👌🏊‍♂️

"Je me sentais vraiment bien. J'étais préparé pour plus dur, mais je suis ravi de ce chrono. J'ai eu quelques problèmes d'orientation au début, ce n'est pas si évident de nager dans les marées, mais après, tout s'est mis en place", commente-t-il à peine sorti de l'eau, depuis le bateau 🥶⛵
