This is a Hebrew song, that talks about the historical account of Jacob (also known as Israel) from the Book of Genesis (Genesis 27-35). Jacob. Jacob escaped to Paddan-Adam from his brother Esau, to stay with his uncle Laban. He desired to marry his daughter Rachel and instead his first married Laban’s eldest daughter Leah. Eventually Jacob settled back in Eretz Yisrael (the Land of Israel) with his family. His descendants eventually obtained complete sovereignty over Eretz Yisrael, fulfilling God’s promise to their forefathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
