I know we've been MIA for awhile and we've had the site shut down for a bit. We're sorry! Rest assured, Richmond Hill Candle Co. is not going anywhere.
Although, it is sad to say the family is moving back up the East coast, not quite to New York, but to the beautiful (...and remote) state of Vermont. We are excited to be closer to family but we will miss all of our friends here in the Hill. You are all AH-MAZING!
But wait... there's more! Remember when I said Richmond Hill Candle Co. wasn't going anywhere?
Well... we have the P E R F E C T new owner to take over and they are local to the Hill!! We are so excited to continue to watch this business grow.

Hey friends! 👋
You will be seeing a temporary change for the next few months as we navigate through this nationwide jar shirt that we have been dealing with. We have tried to extend the life if the jars we had as long as we could, but we are officially out. 😬
We have searched high and low and we have found our closest match. This is a side by side so you can see the difference. This jar definitely has some more weight to it with that heavy base.
We wanted to show you the difference before we started sending them out in orders. And we will also be putting a disclaimer on the website descriptions as well until we can get our regular jars back 😭😭😭

Y'all when we say we test, re-test, and test some more. ....this is what we are talking about. We have been trying to get these dough bowls right since what seems like forever. Stacy will get frustrated her wicks keep distinguishing and take a break, come back, and they do it again.
Today, Stacy's off from her day job so she's going to try another wick, different placement, and anothwr stab at it.
Maybe we can do a little behind the scenes Tuesdays? Sounds like fun!

Don't get us wrong. Stacy loves the Kardashian's, but but this is the difference between paying top dollar for a candle with a celebrity name attached and a candle hand poured being endlessly tested to make sure you are getting the best burn possible.
If you notice Kylie's candle in the top right there is still wax coated around the right side of the glass. That means the wick is too small, and it's not putting off enough heat to burn edge to edge and allow for what we call in the candle world a "full melt pool".
Name brand does not always mean better. We seriously test our products and re-test, then test some more before release them to y'all.
Our Story
My wife and I are originally from Upstate New York (we know, we know. We’re some damn Yankees). So how did two New Yorkers end up in Richmond Hill, Georgia? I can say getting here has truly been an adventure.
If you would have told me 10 years ago I would be joining the Army, three years later deciding to pursue a degree as a physical therapist, relocating to Metro Atlanta, ending up to graduate from a top Lineman trade-school, and relocating again to Coastal Georgia with a new career as an Apprentice Lineman. THEN starting a candle company in my spare time... I would have told you that you were crazy. I would have also wondered how in the hell was my wife still with me after all that. But here we are, happy as ever, and doing what we love.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple. We want to make every home feel like home by filling it with the scents you love and that make you feel all the feels. Candles are truly magic. The flame of a candle can soothe your soul, help you relax, and can even get your brain into a more productive mindset. We don't think there is any better feeling then when you are sitting at home, relaxing with a glass of whisky or wine, watching the kids play in the backyard, and having your home be filled with the scent that makes your stress melt away.
