THE LOOK OF ROCK'S AROUND WORLD introduces to you all J.O.S PROJECT band from Germany Bonn\Cologne. This band was created by our member Karsten Janiba . He is a musician, pianist, Keys, composer and producer. Karsten Janiba has been working own songs for over forty years. I heard some songs of J.O.P. Project that he worked with singer\songwriter Olivia Kobyzev who Karsten has worked with for more than ten years. I will quote some Karsten's and Olivia's songs here: "So Wake up"; "Gift To Us" ; Burn In Hell" ; Call me a Witch ; "Broken Part"; "Run"; "I Lost Myself"; That's What To Do"; "Stereotypes"; "Demons"; I won't Give Up"; "Little Girl"; and my favorite "Return Me to Real Life". Most of the songs on J.O.S Project are perfect for the dance floor, with synthesizers and shaking guitar riff that take us back to the 80's. If we consider the lyrics of the songs we could say that it is very dark (songs that talk about the willingness to give up) . Particularly in "That's What To Do" it refers to what is produced today in the indie\pop rock scene. It would fit perfectly well on a disc. But again, It is a song with very heavy lyrics (which speak of depression and emptiness) that brings another atmosphere in the instrumental part very vibrant and "UP", with voice effects striking beats and synthesizing the track remains "vibrant" . The vocalist Olivia Kobyzev sings repetitively throughout the song and sometimes feels a break in the dancing atmosphere, but not too abruptly. A very interesting song instrumentally speaking, with great arrangements and vocals. The lyrics are about admitting your own shortcomings and seeing yourself as someone liable to make others suffer; that is, being far from the position of the hero/heroine of the story., "a real punch in the gut", a great way to end an album, well constructed - lyrically and instrumentally speaking. Alongside the sad songs you can feel so much in the lyrics – which also focuses on a breakup, where the once known person turns into a stranger. In "Little Girl" experience is shaped by the theatricality and drama of an experience – song that are intimate, emotional and sonically orchestrated – but also something that starts to separate you a bit from the actor and connect you with the music in a different way. In this song Karsten Janiba and Olivia Kobyzev deliver a harmonically vocal project, hyper-centered on personal memories, mixing atmospheric pop, hip-hop and doo-wop vibes with quirky rhythms. A cohesive project full of riffs, textured arrangements and well-placed harmonies. At certain points, the melodic load it has can even feel heavy on paper and in theory, which would fit as a better track and centerpiece of an album. Its lyricity drinks from the abstract, with different paths and misty indications, but permeates subjects such as strength and love, freedom and sometimes prayers. Among the songs mentioned here, Karsten Janiba and Olivia Kobyzev hits the spot by delivering what fans expected: songs that speak entirely to their best qualities since their first hit and preserve a long musical history. Above all, they are hopeful lyrics full of love for life. A perceivable tenor in Karsten Janiba and Olivia Kobyzev previous work is now obvious. Creating a sound that goes from simple to complex in just a few songs is what makes the journey of listening to music so unique. The feeling after listening to Karsten's and Olivia's songs is realizing that their work was done with care… not only related to the songs, but also in the way they were elaborated and in all the tracks the different ways of defining themes in their lyrics. When more organic instruments take the lead and the most romantic and intimate songs reaffirm their place in the world, it is the reason for winning my heart in this work by them and it is already in my most precious playlists. In J.O.S Project the way conducts music seems like a called, which insists on capturing the listener from all sides and directions. It is possible to enjoy the work in any way, so that everyone can have the most cathartic personal

experience possible.
