Our EP finally has a confirmed release date of September first. A delay we can only apologise for.
We hope that everyone’s excited to stream.

After the release the band has decided to go our own ways and do our own thing due to separation of interests at the moment for everyone involved. We may Play together again some day, We may Not.

In either scenario we know that the main thing here is we can all walk away knowing we have accomplished so much within a year and can’t wait for what comes ahead for each person.

But for now we’ve been Highly Evolved (RainTown) x x x

Sorry to announce this in poor fashion but our EP will not be releasing tomorrow as per original plans.

Recording and distribution issues arising late into the release schedule have delayed this and pushed us back a few weeks.

Right now our focus is on overcoming this and trying to sort out the disarray the bands is currently in.

The thing I like about RainTown is the they’re not trying to be like any other band out there, and they’re not trying to model themselves around a sound, that on paper at least, would guarantee them an audience, so if you want to hear Oasis, Gerry Cinnamon or heavens forbid George Ezra, well those guys and sounds are already kicking about out there and they’re replica tribute acts.
What I get from RainTown is that they’re just out to have fun and play music.

Born from a University music course, which didn’t do Belle and Sebastian any harm when the first fruits of that project produced Tigermilk and If You’re Feeling Sinister, both recorded within a year of each other, these guys have been taking their music out and about in Glasgow, and have been winning fans wherever they play.

When you first see them it’s as if five people from five different bands have turned up on stage at the same time, but once they start playing that’s where their magic and fun begins, giving them a more unique and individual sound than most of the other new bands that are kicking about out there at the moment.

Mixing original songs with inspired covers it’s always a fun time when RainTown are around.

Recently playing at the 13th Note, Nice N Sleazy’s and King Tuts, they are next headlining their own night at Broadcast thus coming Friday, 3rd March.

Less than a week to go, We’re so excited to make our Broadcast debut. As headliners as well it’s a great achievement and pleasure.

For those unfamiliar with Eurogig, this creates the opportunity for artists to go abroad to one of four locations in Europe and play some live events.

Seriously though all jokes aside, what an atmosphere. we’ve all heard of the king tuts legacy and it does not disappoint.

Sleazy’s that was amazing !

Another packed house for us, with everyone joining in and feeling like part of the band and the RainTown family.

Big facts to the people at for making this happen and operate so smoothly. Thanks to our Tech for the night Melanie. what an amazing mix and live sound for FOH.

Another great thanks to and all of which were brilliant acts with provided an entertaining set.

we said it was going to be an amazing night and our fans overdelivered as per usual ! We can’t thank you all enough !

We’ll start with the main folks of the night
What an amazing team of insanely talented and professional people. from the first message we ever received from them we know this was going to be a great event. If you haven’t already, give them a follow they’re always looking for great acts to work with.

Which leads us onto the acts…
and are some of the most amazing acts we’ve worked with to date. being able to get such a huge sound in a small venue like 13th note is amazing. you guys truly blew the roof off. the fans loved you guys as did we and can’t wait to see what you guys bring to the stage yet.

our last thanks goes to everyone who bought a ticket and watched us play, even if you couldn’t make it due to your own reasons we appreciate you all. it was such a rush for the amount of interaction we received from you guys and the call for an encore was great.

so a couple of people have been asking what’s our next move.
well we actually have a few…

First of all we have a few gigs coming up, one in Glasgow, one in Ayr and one potentially somewhere else. We are just waiting on promotional material and final details and then those will be announced.

Next we have our new single which we’ve been working on for a while, if you were present at our Glasgow or Prestwick show then you’ll have heard “Lost” (that was the final one 😉)
We don’t have an exact date but you can expect a release throughout the summer.

Lastly, if we could ask a big favour from you all, please, please, please invite your friends, your friends friends, mum’s, dad’s, uncles aunties to like the facebook, and follow our twitter and instagram. it increases the chances of gigs and the future and more music.
