It looks like it's going to be a scorcher today, fam! Some predictions are saying the mercury is to hit 29 degrees Celsius. Remember to be careful in this heat and look after yourself and your whānau.
👍 Slop on some sunscreen, and make sure it hasn't expired.
👍 Don't leave animals or young children in vehicles.
👍 Avoid walking pets on hot surfaces like asphalt or concrete.
👍 Cover up and find shade where and when you can.
👍 Drink plenty of water.
👍 Be kind to those working in this heat (like our contractors).
👍 Be careful when dealing with dry greenery.
👍 Swim between the flags if you're at one of our sweet beaches.
