Self isolation pre school Rhyme time

Hi all,

I'm struggling to be honest. And the thing I'm really struggling with is my kids seem to hate video social interaction. Like really hate it, it's the only thing that makes me shout and us all crying. So I'm just going to see what happens if I avoid it today.

After Saturdays show Pippa really has been telling me everyday she doesn't want to do it.

Normally in normal circumstances I would do it with April and let her sulk in the other room. But we have a long time to survive.

My husband is a key worker, and working his socks off so I'm flying solo. Perhaps at the weekend when he can play with Pippa I can do it with April.

Sorry to disappoint but no rhyme time today.

I'll let you know how it progresses. She's four so may change her mind tomorrow especially if I don't nag.

Sorry everyone, this morning was a bit of a c**k up.

I think I woke up trying to follow a plan and be Maria Von trapp. My children know that not me and went a bit wild.

April did a poo just before we started, we are having some nappy issues at the moment (to be honest I might potty train in this lock down/can't get nappies!)

Then I stupidly had two pages and I did the live one on the wrong one 🤦 deleted now so that won't happens again.

But I missed you all and so did Pippa and we thought we had lost all our followers and we felt so flat! But then we have come back to it.

We aren't self isolating yet, but social distancing so we might attempt the park this afternoon!

See you tomorrow at 10am?!?!?

I've decided to make our rough timetable of the day tomorrow to help us survive.

We are going to get some fresh air in the afternoon somewhere remote.

So we will be on at 10am!

About to pick up the girls from nursery, which who knows might be the last time!

That was a really mad half hour and if you rewatch it, I get louder and faster and more manic as I do it!

So I'll be back on Thursday and then until at least next Wednesday! But if my Wednesday work gets cancelled I'm here all the time!

My mum is an retired early year teacher. She's made a Pinterest board with some realistic ideas in mind. (some based around my children's ages 4 and 2)

Basically being self isolated with babies, toddlers and preschoolers is HARD WORK.

we all go to our groups for structure in our daily lives and for fun and other benefits.

All groups have a sing along part in them, and the kids love it.

I am really missing our Tiny Talk class tomorrow. Our tutor is having to self isolate! So I thought I might try going Live and do some top hits nursery rhymes, heck even try and read a book and perhaps suggest an activity to do. For those who don't know me I am a musician and mother to two young girls.

I'm going to try and do this at 10am every day. So you have some vauge structure and normality in your life. I can't promise to do it everyday, but will try. Tomorrow will star my co-host, April who is nearly two. Depending if she lets me sing......... We will see how it goes.
