🍂Do you feel it yet…
Summer’s slow assent into Autumn?
🪶I’ve enjoyed a weekend of medicine making and finding tiny treasures on my evening walks through the Moody Hills.
🍁I adore fall, the warm spiced drinks, the magic of changing leaves, the rituals involved with the turning of the wheel of seasons. I’ve started to hear the first whispers of fall.
🕯I’m busy working on enchanted products for this upcoming season and can hardly wait for the fall release!
🦉What unique Autumn traditions are you looking forward to?…✨
✨New labels for Fable’s potions will start slowly filtering in. I’d love to know what you think! Featured is our H**p Serum.
🌿Organic h**p, pumpkin seed and papaya oils assist with calming the skin’s tissues, are rich in antioxidant properties and help clear acne. I infused this blend with rosemary and other botanicals over 3 moon cycles.
✨This water free oil serum has a medium consistency and absorption rate. It would be perfect for normal, dry, acne prone skin types. I also use this on the ends of my hair and for scalp treatments. I’ve been informed that this serum makes beards super soft and assists with hair growth!

🌼 I gathered honey scented petals & distilled them into our Chamomile Toner. It’s wonderful for sensitive skin, mildly antiseptic and very calming to the tissues. The scent is light and delicate as the flowers themselves…notes of apples, honey and hay combine for a soothing toner that hydrates and nourishes. These are available now at fablebotanicals.com

🪶I’ve been enjoying the windy Saturday. Visiting the farmers market, and bringing home new herb friends for the gardens. I think I’ll start a lemon balm hydrosol because it’s looking so vibrant after the rainstorms.
🌿 Lemon balm facial toner is one of my absolute favorites! Once distilled and bottled the scent is so uplifting and verdant. I’ve noticed it immediately brings a calming effect to my reddened skin. It just feels like I’ve captured Spring in a bottle, sunshine and all. I hope everyone is enjoying this weekend! I’ll let you know once I have the Lemon Balm listed ✨
🪶Moss is 300m yrs old.
Home on every continent.
No roots. No towering trunks,
yet it tasted the air before the first feather,
before shrews stirred the leaf litter.
When your mind hisses like a kettle,
look to your elder, to the green lessons
of soft, simple quiet beneath the sun.🌿
🌙 On the eve of the Full Flower Moon I walked the stone garden paths, gathering rose buds, lavender, and delicate chamomile flowers. They were placed inside my copper still and it was time to watch the moonrise & wait for the magic to begin…
✨The birdsong surrounded and the fireflies danced in the shadows. Soon an ethereal scent infused the air with images of gardens bursting with the new life of Spring.
🧚♂️ Eventually it was time to bottle the potion and allow it to remain in the moonlight for the rest of the night.
🕯 This blend is perfect for all skin types. The chosen flowers help modulate inflammation, balance oil production, and offer an overall calming effect to the skin and spirit.
🧺 I still have a few bottles remaining of this months Full Flower Moon Mist. Head to Fablebotanicals.com to claim your own bottle of moon magic!

🐌 This weekend I was asked where I source my botanicals and oils from. I realized that what is second nature for me, isn’t fully known by others…
I started Fable with the intention of offering products that are healthy for your body- externally but also internally. For me that begins with organically growing many herbs & flowers myself for the products. I sustainably wildcraft some items that I don’t grow and beyond that I like to work with other local (organic) growers first, if I cannot find a good local source, I start looking at other companies I trust, like Mountain Rose Herbs.
🍯 The same goes for all my oils and honey. I like to source as local as possible and family owned if I can. All the oils used in Fable’s products are organic and cold pressed. I do not order hydrosols in bulk and repackage them as my own. I purchased a copper still from in Portugal, just so I could grow and distill everything myself.
⚗️ I love being able to ensure that every part of the formulation process is thoughtful and sustainable.
It doesn’t stop with the ingredients for my products…I also use shaved birch and moss for packaging, that can be reused for projects or campfires. I am always working towards leaving a smaller footprint.
🦉 This is a way of life for me, to be able to care for others is a strong calling and I don’t take the trust you’ve placed in me lightly. It’s my honor to be there with a salve for your wounds, a floral mist to calm inflamed skin and facial oils to nourish. More than anything I want you to feel a moment of peace, daily. I love being able to create potions that you start your day with and reach for at the end of it.
Thank you for helping to support my dream that is Fable🧚♂️

🦉 I’ve seriously fallen in love with these little flower presses. I love how they are imperfect and have been coaxed into existence thru trial and error, study and lots of sanding! Like us, they are still a work in progress. And like all my Fable creations, they hold a special place in my heart. Coming to you soon with the Spring update. 🦔
🐌 As Spring inches it’s way closer, I enjoy brewing a rich potion of Dandelion root coffee. This can be enjoyed black but I love to add some cardamom infused oat milk & sweeten it with maple syrup.
🦉 This makes a rich drink that tastes surprisingly similar to coffee. I drink it hot when it’s cold out, and make iced ‘lattes’ during the Summer. I find myself craving it as the season’s change.
🤎 Dandelion root is highly nutritious, containing minerals, antioxidants, helps to fight inflammation, may aid in blood sugar management, promotes liver health and is overall detoxing after a long Winter.
🪶 Feel free to follow this recipe loosely and make it your own.
🧺 You can either dig your own roots, or purchase dried roots through your local herbalist, Mountain Rose Herbs, or some natural grocers.
🤎 DANDELION ROOT COFFEE:
2 TBS dandelion roots
2-3 Cups water
1 tsp raw cacao
🤎 CARDAMOM INFUSED OAT MILK:
1 c Oat milk
1/8 tsp cardamom
Real maple syrup to taste
🤎 DIRECTIONS:
Start roasting the roots over med/high heat in a pot. Keep stirring until they smoke for about 1 min. Slowly add your water and bring to a simmer. Add the cacao & simmer for 5 min, then turn off the heat and allow the roots to steep for an additional 5 min. Strain through a wire strainer into a clean jar & set aside.
🐌 Now I start heating my oat milk in a pot, add powdered cardamom and sweeten with maple syrup or raw honey. Whisk until frothy.
🤎 I generally add 2/3 part Dandy coffee in my cup and top it off with the frothed oat milk, then I sprinkle cardamom on top! I always make extra to store in the fridge. It’s so easy to make and adapt to your tastes. Let me know what you think!
Always check with your doc to make sure this herb is suitable for you!
🐌 The ‘Forager’s Press’ will be included in the Spring shop update. An enchanted, mini sized flower press that was designed to take with you on woodland adventures. Just the right size for collecting wildflower specimens! They will feature a variety of vintage mushroom and flora imagery. Keep an eye out for more photos & the announcement of the shop update!
🪶In the meantime grab a bottle of Wild Rose Floral Mist or the skin balancing Sage & Juniper berry Mist from fablebotanicals.com- I’m still including a mini pot of Rose Balm with every order, while supplies last!
🤎Happy International Women’s Day!
I was fortunate to have a grandmother that taught me the meaning of unconditional love. She showed me the importance of getting outside everyday to garden and how to make a really good chocolate cake. She stayed strong in the face of many obstacles and kept her heart open in spite of them.
🤎I also happen to be surrounded by some of the strongest, badass women in my family.
🤎To my sister, who had a lot of responsibility put on her at a young age but still decided to take me under her wing- through many late night walks and wine cooler conversations in her driveway, she made me feel heard & honored in the chaos of life.
🤎 To my oldest daughter Jade- words will never be enough. You came into the world and saved me. You inspired me to never give up. You still show me everyday what you can accomplish when you have the courage to move forward in spite of your fears. Jade’s all the way in Newfoundland, obtaining her Masters in Folklore- forever beating the odds and staying true to her heart.
🤎 To my other daughter Amy, who blazed a trail & showed me what you can achieve - moving against all odds and showing others how you can survive this world with a heart full of love for others and a wild spirit. She dances through this life.
🤎To my youngest, wild woman of a daughter Violet. You have always inspired me by your unapologetic march to your own drum. Violet became an awesome chef in a very male dominated field. She has a pure heart, full of love and support to give all those around her. Her ability to keep moving forward is admirable. Stay wild, moon child!
🤎And finally (even though he is not a woman) I wanted to take a moment to thank my amazing son. My one and only. You move through this world with respect for women and it shows. The way you care for your female friends and partner is admirable. You showed me that there’s hope and there really are a few good men in the world. Ones that will stand in the gap, speak up & even protect when needed.
🤎 Thank you to all the unnamed- to the women that have sprinkled seeds of knowledge & love into my life.

🌙 Our Lavender Moon Mist combines the flowers and leaves of Lavandula Angustifolia- (organically grown in our gardens), with butterfly flower and willow bark extracts. It’s harvested on the full moon and during the summer solstice, to be transformed into a calming & balancing potion for the skin.
🧚 Lavender can help calm inflammation in the tissues and nervous system. It supports balanced oil production and offers regenerative effects.
🌿 Willow extract adds a natural source of salicylic acid that helps encourage gentle exfoliation.
🌸 Butterfly flower stimulates the natural production of collagen & elastin. It also has antioxidants that can help reduce redness and inflammation.
🧝🏾♀️This multipurpose mist can be used on your hair for added softness and assist with balancing oil production on the scalp.
🕯 It makes a lovely personal space spray & pillow mist, to encourage a calming atmosphere around you.
The scent is reminiscent of Lavender fields after it rains, mossy and serene.
⚗️ All of our floral mists are distilled in our apothecary, using a traditional copper Alembic Still.
🐌 Find our Moon Mist and fairy-sized sets available for purchase at Fablebotanicals.com
✨🧚🌙⚗️🗝🕯🧝🏾♀️✨
🥀 Our Rose Facial Mist is distilled in-house using a traditional copper still. It’s made from Violet roses that have been organically grown in our gardens. Hydrosols differ from essential oils…having a more subtle, ethereal scent profile.
🌺 I make a hibiscus extract that gets added for an extra boost of vitamin C, and to help encourage collagen production.
🗝 Using a hydrosol is an important step in your skincare ritual. It helps tone the tissues and balance the skin’s pH after cleansing.
✨ Something magical happens when you mist your face and immediately follow with a botanically infused facial serum. As your skin pulls in the hydrosol, it absorbs the serum (&nutrients), helping them to not just sit on the surface.
🧚♂️ You will find combinations of Mists and Serums for specific skin types in our fairy-sized sample sets. There’s also a ‘skin type’ resource located at the bottom of our ‘Shop All’ page for suggested pairings. My current favorite is the rose toner paired with Plum & Apricot serum for added hydration during the colder months.
🐌Head to fablebotanicals.com to check out which combinations work best for your skin type. Or reach out via our chat box for more specific questions.

LOVE AFTER LOVE
The time will come
when, with elation
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror, and each will smile at the other’s welcome…
and say, sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger who was yourself. Give wine. Give bread.
Give back your heart to itself, to the stranger who has loved you
all your life, whom you ignored
for another, who knows you by heart. Take down the love letters on the bookshelf…
the photographs, the desperate notes, peel your own images from the mirror. Sit. Feast on your life✨

🌺Hibiscus, also known as ‘Eternity Flowers’ are one of the main ingredients in our Rose Serum and our Wild Rose Mist.
✨Below are just some of the many skin benefits that can be found in these flowers:
🌺The plant’s properties are rich in antioxidants and vitamins- especially vitamins C & E.
🌺Hibiscus has natural surfactants that help cleanse the skin in a mild, soothing way.
🌺It’s a natural source of alpha-hydroxy acids, which can help exfoliate the skin, control acne breakouts, increase moisture and improves elasticity.
🌺They support your body’s natural collagen production and help increase elasticity.
⚗️When making our Wild Rose & Hibiscus serum, the flowers are plucked by hand and laid out to dry slightly, before being whisked away into jars to be infused with other supportive botanicals.
🌙This nourishing serum contains a specific type of antioxidants called anthocyanins, which create a rich-ruby colored oil.
🗝You can also find hibiscus being used to create our “Wild Rose Floral Mist’. Paired with rose to help tone skin’s tissues and balance sebum production, while offering an overall nutritive effect.
🧚One of my favorite things to make with hibiscus is an infused honey. Below is a simple recipe that can be enjoyed mixed into cocktails, mocktails, sparkling water or even spread on toast!
✨🌺✨🌺✨🌺✨🌺✨
🍯HIBISCUS HONEY:
1) Fill a glass jar with fully dried, organic hibiscus flowers.
2) Pour enough raw honey to cover the flowers and fill the jar.
3) Place a lid on the jar and allow to steep for a few weeks on the counter, turning daily.
4) Strain the flowers and pour your ruby colored creation into a clean jar to be enjoyed daily for a Vitamin C boosting, sweet-tart magical treat.
