Ilya Ivanov - another scientist gone mad π₯Ί
Ilya Ivanov was a 20th century Russian and Soviet biologist who was famous on his studies on artificial insemination.
Back in 1924 after years of campaigning, Ivanov was granted permission from the Bolshevik government to go ahead with his research - Ivanov was trying to create a "human - ape hybrid".
He started by grafting a human o***y into a chimp and trying to fertilize the egg artificially π.
Later that year Ivanov travelled to Africa where he forcibly inseminated three chimps once again. When non of the animals fell pregnant ; Ivanov decided to pivot into something drastic.
He took more drastic steps by impregnating a human woman with monkey s***m. The wild part of this is that he did manage to round up five volunteers for this experiment but, due to the political climate of the time Ivanov was arrested and sent away to die.
Even though some scientists today are still trying to create a human - ape The truth is that Ivanov's experiment was never completed.

In Oligocene period, about 35 million years ago, another form called Mesohippus evolved.
Mesohippus had three toes in both fore and hind limbs and long crowned teeth. In Oligocene period, there were fewer streams and land was becoming drier. Grasslands and forests were becoming dominant.
Under this condition, the need to escape from enemies became important, hence the reduction of toes to three for Speed.
The third toe was enlarged, the high crowned teeth were adapted for grazing than browsing. The height of Mesohippus was 0.6m.
