During her initial exam, Chelsea noted that she had been having issues with TMJ for a long time, but that the symptoms had become worse over the last few months. Initially she wanted to use clear aligners, but due to her particular case we determined braces would be best so we could use bite turbos to begin correcting her TMJ symptoms.

During her initial exam we found that Vayden had a small airway, and it was decided that she would greatly benefit from an RPE during treatment. We scanned her for her appliance, and at her initial bonding we started her with upper and lower Damon braces, as well as bonded her RPE and began expanding her upper arch right away.

Once the expansion goal was reached, her RPE was removed and she continued to wear elastics consistently to finish correcting her bite. We continued to upright her teeth, bring everything into alignment and close all of her spaces.

Kirk came to us with concerns about the wear and tear his bite was causing his teeth. During his exam we saw that he was missing his upper 2’s and had also previously had his LL7 extracted. With the missing upper 2’s, this had caused his upper arch to become narrow and put him in an underbite which was causing a lot of wear and tear on his incisors.

We worked closely with Dr. Broadbent at to create a plan for Kirk so he could plan to have future implants for his missing upper 2’s. We started his treatment with upper and lower Damon braces, along with open coil spring to begin opening up spaces for his upper 2’s.

Partway through treatment we placed one posterior TAD on his upper right side to help us distalize the posterior segment, shift his midline into place, create space for his implants, and create a healthy occlusion. By creating width in the upper and lower arch, we were able to use elastics to correct the bite.

We finished up our treatment with him with some final reshaping of his teeth. Working alongside Dr. Broadbent we were able to give Kirk this truly amazing finish! Steven came to us with a missing his first molar on his upper left side, which created a lot of spacing and a crossbite on the posterior left side and between his upper 1’s.

Our biggest goal for Steven’s case was to maintain his midline while we pulled the teeth on his upper left side forward to close that spacing. This made his case unique because we couldn’t simply close those spaces with power chain, or else we would pull his midline to the left.

To prevent this from happening, we placed one anterior TAD on his left side to help us anchor those anterior teeth and hold his midline in place. This allowed us to pull those posterior teeth forward and close those spaces. While we worked to close those spaces, we also added width to his arches to create that full smile, and leveled out all of his teeth.

We finished his treatment with some final reshaping of his teeth giving him this incredible finish! Not only did we give him a fuller smile, but by closing those spaces it drastically improved his bite which will continue to provide countless health benefits in all areas of his life.
