Some insite from a former pro powerlifter I gained. Doing deadlifts is perhaps one of the most challenging and therefore dangerous lifts people do. He said if you aren’t breaking world records and getting paid to do them it would be best to do different lifts.
Of course there is my meathead side saying dead’s will be in tomorrow’s workout anyhow!

My thoughts. If you need a coach you don’t have the desire, discipline, or dedication to do it.
In this day and age the info is at your fingertips. What you do with it is up to you. You either work or you don’t. It is that simple.
This coming from someone who doesn’t agree much with motivation, but is dedicated to what I pursue.

Friday workout was quick and dirty! That’s what my wife said…
All upper body after a long week. We would have done whole body and a hike tomorrow, but the weather is likely not good tomorrow so we will do a killer leg and shoulder session with some form of cardio at the gym tomorrow.
I have cut way back, but it’s Friday evening and the grill is fired up.
Jim Beam and a cool glass and bullet chillers were called for.

Watching a show and Michael Keaton is in it. We were talking about him playing Batman…..35 years ago. I don’t usually feel old, but dang! I had to do that math twice to make sure, but 1989 was a lil bit ago!
This is my old man game changer. Weights a little less than my old split routine. Heart rate above 130 for the entire workout. Super setting the chest and back stuff in the beginning and then killing legs with little time between sets. Then superset arm followed super setting shoulder presses and shrugs. Cool down with the calves and incline sit ups!
Just dialing in life! My crazy self is ready for the work week. I like what I do and it allows us to do other fun things too.

Sometimes a random comment can make your day.
Met a guy last week while having a drink. He happens to paint houses and do maintenance and we are getting bids to have the house painted (exterior). I hate painting!
Anyhow, I call and leave him a message today. He calls back and I tell him my name and where we met. He pauses, and says, “no disrespect, but you’re the guy with all the muscles, right?”
I laugh and say yep, you got me. The meathead! He will be by in a bit to give us an estimate.
