Hello everyone, Daniel here…

Today marks a special day in the existence of New Standard Elite. As many of you know, roughly 13 years ago, I decided to start a label with a VERY specific vision and purpose. Over the years, NSE grew beyond what I could have ever expected. This comes with an enormous amount of time and dedication, difficulty managing the balance of family, work, NSE, and everything else in day to day life…

The time has come for me to pass the torch to someone who I trust to keep the NSE vision pure, someone who has the time and proven dedication to the music, that the bands and fans deserve. As my priorities have massively shifted in the last couple years, I am happy to have the label be refreshed with a new passion and driving force that will keep NSE moving upward.

That being said… I want to thank everyone for the support over the last 13 years, and believing in that vision. Thank you to all the bands who put their trust in me, and all the fans who have turned into friends over the years. I am ready to focus on my family and devote 110% of myself to being a full time dad and husband.

I am very happy to welcome Ryan Baker as the new owner of New Standard Elite! I cannot think of a better person to take the reins of the label that is so important to me, something that has been such a meaningful and defining chapter in my life. Everyone is in good hands.

Statement from Ryan:

“Hello all Brutal Death Metal Fans,

I have been a massive supporter of NSE since its inception over 13 years ago, so when Dan approached me earlier this year about taking over the label, I gladly accepted. I have promised him that the legacy and history he created with this iconic brand would always remain. My only stipulation was that he stay on the NSE staff for the next eighteen months to ease me into this new position and help with the many creative behind the scenes endeavors that he enjoys. Dan's expertise in this space is invaluable, and I very much look forward to working with him in keeping NSE one of the top BDM labels. The full NSE catalog will be available soon on the Artifacts of Brutality bigcartel page while the NSE bigcartel is updated. I'll have some new posts next week with more information, new band releases, and signings.
