Connie Engelbrecht, wow, what a woman. She worked to protect others, to help them heal and let them know they are indeed loved. Connie exemplified Actively Caring in every single thing she did. The way she would interact even with the most junior construction contractor showed she valued every person as a child of god worthy of love.

Even in her fight with cancer she actively cared for those going through the journey with her, fellow patients, family and her friends worldwide.

I learned so much from Connie. We were kindred spirits, on a mission and laughed all along the way. She was my sister from Africa, my compatriot and dearest friend.

The crew of guardian angels in heaven just got a big upgrade. Us here on earth must learn from her life lessons.
