Please consider helping if you can!
UPDATE: After just 3 hours we are ‼️SOLD OUT‼️Thank you so much for all of your support 👏🏻
Time to help! 🎈
As you may be aware, the balloon museum was heavily damaged by fire last Friday. The National Balloon Museum, Inc is one of the attractions in Indianola that makes us a great place to live and visit! We were not quite ready to unveil our new patch we were going to wear during the National Balloon Classic….but now is the time!
We have a limited number of these patches for sale for $25 each. 100% of the funds raised will be donated to the balloon museum to help rebuild and secure items that were lost due to the fire. Pick them up at the Indianola Police Department lobby now! (Cash only please)
Thank you!
We have had an overwhelming request for yard signs of all sizes. We are working to get these out as quickly as we can and as supplies allow.
I appreciate the support, as this is a good problem to have.
🇺🇸Let's finish this June 4th!🇺🇸
Happy Easter. Have a blessed day.

Please let me know. I will be out and about today collecting signatures.
Spent this morning at the Warren County Republican Convention in Indianola. It is refreshing to see so many new faces actively involved in the future of our County and our Nation.
Spend the next few months getting to know your Candidates for the State and Local Offices.
Ask them the tough questions that are important to you.
And remember... VOTE June 4th!
On January 25th, 2024, the State of Iowa conducted its annual inspection of the Warren County Jail. The inspection report reflected the following:
"The Warren County Jail was inspected on January 25, 2024, by the Iowa Department of Corrections, as required by the Iowa Code Section 356, to ensure compliance with Chapter 201-50 of the Iowa Administrative Code and Iowa Jail Standards.
Warren County Jail is a new, clean , well-managed, and well-maintained facility.
Documentation was complete and readily available for inspection.
I wish to express my appreciation to Lt. Burrows and the entire staff of the Warren County Jail for their assistance and cooperation during the inspection."
As your Sheriff, I am proud of this report and proud of staff for their efforts. Opening a Jail our size with over 70% new staff was no small task. We have had our bumps along the way, but the jail operations are running smooth!
I humbly ask for your vote on June 4th to help us continue our mission.
Joe Carico
Primary Election Season is in full swing!
I am declaring my intentions to seek a second term as your County Sheriff. Please let me know if you would like a yard sign to be placed on your property to show your support for my reelection for Warren County Sheriff.
Signs will be placed as the weather permits. It could be late February to early March as the snow and temps prevent us at this time.
With 2024 just around the corner, I will soon be collecting signatures to get on next year's ballot.
We have seen a lot of changes the last three years and I thank you for all the support. I hope to continue the work we have started.
Respectfully,
Warren County Sheriff
Joseph Carico
Thank you to ALL the Supporters who allowed a yard sign, who helped us get our message out, and who showed up at the Polls yesterday to VOTE! This experience has truly been humbling.
Thank you
We will be around in the coming days to collect our Yard Signs.
🇺🇲VOTE🇺🇲
As this election cycle draws to a close, remember to get out and vote tomorrow if you have not voted already. This is the process that keeps our Country OUR Country.
After the votes are tallied, if we should find the results in our favor, I look forward to the task at hand of restoring the Sheriff's Office to full staff and improving the services provided to you, the Citizens of Warren County.
Joe Carico, New Virginia, Republican Qualities I would expect in a Sheriff:
We wanna give a shout out to the Pink Tractor Foundation for making the trip this morning. Such a great cause! Thank you Tom Brommel and Randal Schultz!
Had a GREAT TIME in Indianola today at the Log Cabin Days Parade. It was good to see all the folks from around Warren County that were there.
Thank you to all the volunteers that walked with us, some of whom just came off a long overnight shift.
Thank you to fellow candidates that helped with everything today and along the way on the campaign trail.
Last, but certainly not least, THANK YOU to all the support that has poured in from the citizens of Warren County. November 3rd is fast approaching, with everything going on, make sure you know where ALL your Elected Officials stand on the issues important to you, ESPECIALLY the person you elect as your Sheriff.
God Bless.
As the November 3rd General Election draws closer, the citizens of Warren County have a choice in who they want for their Sheriff. I would ask that you consider the following when making this choice.
With everything going on in today's world, you need to consider where the Sheriff stands on issues that are important to you. Issues such as Government Overreach vs Constitutional Rights. Issues such as Fiscal Responsibility. Please consider the vision each Candidate has for preparing our Sheriff's Office for the growth that our County is seeing.
As you scroll back through posts and articles during our Primary Election cycle, I believe I have given answers to most of these questions. I mention this because I wish to point out that as things have changed and evolved greatly this past year, my positions and views have stayed the course.
First off, I believe in our Constitutional Rights. My actions as Sheriff will reflect this belief. As I have stated many times during this election cycle, they are our RIGHTS, not our privileges. This stands for the entire package we get in the Constitution, not just certain rights. This summer we have seen the Rights of individuals become very uncertain. As your Sheriff, I will stand fast to support these Rights.
Secondly, I ask you to consider the Fiscal Responsibility of your Elected Officials. As of right now we have an exorbitant amount of tax-payer monies being spent in the form of Overtime. I understand we can never fully eliminate the need for some overtime, but our current levels being paid can be and should be reduced. This can be done, in part, by filling open positions that are already in the Sheriff's Office Budget.
Last, but not least, I would ask you to consider the vision going forward. Our Sheriff's Office will need to grow as our county grows. This does not necessarily require an additional burden to the tax payer. It does, however, require a vision to set a plan in motion to meet these needs.
-As our population grows, we will have a need for a greater presence in the public. One way to provide this, aside from filling currently open positions, is the creation of a Reserve Program. This will reduce the strain on the Certified Patrol Division, and the budget, when our presence is requested and/or required.
-As our population grows, I believe having multiple Deputies crosstrained in certain functions within the Sheriff's Office will allow for a more timely service to the citizens of this county as well as reduce the overtime required for one person who has to handle everything.
These are just a few items that scratch the surface of things I will accomplish if elected as your Sheriff. Please feel free to reach out with any specific questions or concerns you may have.
We will be at the Indianola Log Cabin Days Parade on September 26th.
If you plan to attend and already have a Campaign Shirt, please show your support! With everything going on in our great nation, this is not the election cycle to sit idle.
If anyone has taken down a yard sign since the June 2nd Primary, please put them back up for the November 3rd General Election!
If your sign needs replaced or you would like a yard sign, we have a couple left. Please message me directly or reply to this post from OUR Campaign Page. Otherwise the request might get lost in the shuffle.
And don't forget, on November 3rd...

I have been asked about my point of view on Red Flag laws. Plain and simple, I oppose them. I believe in our Rights and do not believe they are privileges that can simply be suspended. Our Rights are what allow us to provide for and protect our families. Our Rights are what our Founding Fathers put in place to keep OUR government in check. We are a GOVERNED people, not a RULED people.
Carico: Candidate says sheriff's department needs to be more visible in the community Joe Carico, now of New Virginia, has wanted to be a Warren County Sheriff’s deputy since he was in fifth grade at Martensdale-St. Marys schools.
We all have a responsibility for this health concern and it should be taken seriously but I believe this Sheriff is right on point!
