The Chariot can be encouragement to stay the course while making adjustments as needed, harnessing willpower and resolving issues as we go. Where opposing forces are present, taking control of our own outcomes can help us reach our goals.

Death can symbolize transformation, rebirth, or loss, and tells of the end of a cycle. The Knight of Pentacles may signify what comes next—the beginning of the new cycle—or it can shed light as to what is passing out of our experience. Knights are messengers, and this knight stands at parade rest, regrouping and grounding. He is connected to the earth and is steady, stable, and practical above all. He is often an indicator of strengthening foundations and increased stability, pointing the way to slow, steady growth ahead. While that growth may be slow, it is also long-lasting and provides the support for our loftier dreams and goals.

The High Priestess can often mean alignment with one’s own higher self and higher wisdom. There’s a deep knowing within us that we can tap into anytime we want. This card could be calling us to do just that. We may feel guided to step more into our own power.

The Polish translation of Tarot by the Moon just arrived on my doorstep! A warm thank you to Janusz Nawrocki for translating my book into my father’s first language. This makes my heart so happy.
Together, the Nine of Wands and Queen of Swords can indicate someone who has experienced challenges and adversity and emerged victorious. The Queen of Swords is a card of the mind, of creative power used in concert with the intellect. The creativity that flows through now may come from that stronger place the person has reached and could be seeking an outlet, whether through music, art, writing, or some other form of expression. Now is the time to channel that creative impetus and turn it into something amazing.

The Five of Cups says we may be focusing more on what we don’t have than on what we do. In many decks, some of the cups are overturned, and a figure walks away in sadness, seeing only the loss. Meanwhile, some of the cups are full. This card comes in as a reminder that what we focus on grows. Giving our attention to what is working and to what we do have and can appreciate brings us more to appreciate.

By far, one of the highlights of 2022 was having my book, Tarot by the Moon, scoop up a triple win in the COVR Awards. It’s an honor on top of an honor—to have my book published by Llewellyn and for it to win the 2022 People’s Choice Visionary Award and the Silver Award in two categories, Best Tarot Book and Best Book Cover, in the Coalition of Visionary Resources (COVR) Visionary Awards, held at the INATS 2022 trade show conference in Denver, CO.
My sincere gratitude to the good people at Llewellyn, including talented cover designer Kevin R. Brown (to whom one of these awards really belongs), my wonderful readers, everyone who has supported me in any way, and the awesome folks at COVR.
The icing on the cake is that TBTM is being translated into three languages—Polish, Russian, and Bulgarian. Here’s wishing you all a bright and beautiful 2023!
There is the outer self and the inner self, the seen and the hidden. Messages from within may be clamoring for recognition. Taking time to turn the attention inward can be greatly rewarding.

The Empress can represent a period of fertile creativity as well as feminine power and authority, pleasure and abundance. In response to a question about creative projects and career, this card brings an overwhelmingly positive message. The Empress is a feminine energy, strong and sure of herself, confident in her abilities, and as nurturing as she is at home in seeking the pleasures of life. She can be a supportive figure, someone who is loving, caring, and emotionally supportive. This card can appear when we have a strong romantic connection to someone and indicates a stable relationship that is passionate and committed.

Sometimes we get in our own way, and this card appears to remind us of just that. We may be called to recognize where we have been holding ourselves back with negative thought patterns or beliefs and take steps to shift old habits and rewrite them to what serves us and our goals. One potentially helpful practice is visualization. As we see ourselves living the experience of our desires, we begin to shift the energy toward it.

The Six of Pentacles heralds good fortune, material prosperity, cooperation, and overall abundance. Things are working out so very well and are headed toward an upward trajectory.

Often a card of communication and the intellect, the King of Swords can appear when your path is one of study, writing, or mastering mental tasks. For those seeking clarity on a situation, the guidance can be to take charge through preparedness, information gathering, the application of knowledge, or the pursuit of a career or support system in law or communications.

With grace, we can navigate even the most challenging circumstances, internal or external. Grace helps us to flow around obstacles and find the path of least resistance with ease. Releasing resistance and finding peace within strengthens our energy and empowers us to move forward, sure-footed and confident, toward what we want.

We are all capable of greatness—not by the world’s standards, but by our own. There is, within each of us, our highest and best possible life, our most elevated self, who we are at the pinnacle of our hopes and dreams. We hold our own luminance within. We can shine brighter than the stars in the sky, brighter than the sun, living a life of radiant joy. There is, within each one of us, something truly wondrous. We are capable of living life to the fullest, of surprising even ourselves with just how good it can be, if only we will allow it.

Deck: True Heart Intuitive Tarot by Rachel True
Two cards are coming in for the Harvest Moon, the Four of Pentacles and the Three of Cups. The cycle from now through the week ahead is assisting us in creating greater stability in our physical lives and on emotional levels. Now is a celebratory time in which community, communications, and camaraderie figure in strongly. In turn, celebrations—namely our joy and connections with others; think fun, laughter, and making new memories—fuel the stability, transformations, and manifestations we seek.
This combo may ask us to prepare to receive manifestations of the heart and on emotional levels. Preparation might look like trusting ourselves more and becoming aware of any resistance we hold so we can replace it with belief in our success. We may feel this as heart openings, emotional revelations and turning points, and epiphanies that help us to resolve long-held feelings and memories. These beautiful changes clear the way for us to gather our harvest and receive greater joy and fulfillment. When we feel joy, we can ground in it, strengthening ourselves in good feelings and allowing that to become our new set-point.
Soul Cards by Kristine Fredheim
The keywords for the week ahead are richness, flexibility, fertility, and adaptability. We may feel called to explore the diverse richness life has to offer, and to allow ourselves new experiences. This is the week to explore all life has to offer and to get out there and do something new. Great rewards may be waiting for you.

The September reading is now available (link in bio). In it, I offer a sneak peek into what the Harvest Moon month holds, exploring the energies of each week, as well as the overall energies coming in and our guidance for navigating them through the weeks ahead. (Hint: Get out of your head and have a little fun!) Much love!
The Hanged Man encourages us to seek new perspectives, to consider things from a different angle. It can be useful to change techniques and approaches to obtain different results. This card may guide us to go within, to take time to pause and reflect, to let things be for a while. If there’s something we’re really reaching for, sometimes shifting focus and stepping back from it for a bit is just what is needed to allow it to flow into our experience. Letting go of the need to see immediate results is a way of releasing resistance so we can receive what we’ve been asking for. This card can also appear when we would benefit from taking time to ourselves, as alone time can help shed new light and bring fresh perspectives.

Out of contrast, desires are born. Seeking harmony, we stand on a basis of what we know we don’t want and are encouraged to be in the energy of the state desired. Because that which is like unto itself is drawn, we are energy magnets, attracting what we are being, who we are, in every given moment. We are powerful creators. We are new in every moment and have the ability to shift at any time into whatever energy we choose.
