Hello, happy Thursday! My week has been crazy and thrown off a bit, but this is your reminder that not every week will go as planned. You’ll have weeks that will throw you completely off track! How we handle and go on after those weeks is what matters.
I’m excited to announce that I have created a 12 week package to offer to those moms who are ready to take control of their health but feel overwhelmed or stuck on exactly where to start. The purpose of this package is to help you lose some of that extra weight while also focusing on improving your relationship with yourself and food. By the end of the 12 weeks I want you to feel confident in yourself and your daily choices.
My job as your health coach is to support and guide you on taking the action needed to see those changes you’ve always wanted!
During the 12 weeks together we will explore a different topic each week while moving at your own pace! You will also receive:
•Weekly 1:1 virtual sessions with the option to decrease if needed
•Support and accountability via email or text message
•A safe space to open up about your life goals and values
Message me if you are interested in more info on how we can work together or how you can get started! 😉
What a week with everything going on around us! This is your friendly reminder that it is okay to not be okay right now! It’s okay to feel all the emotions that this past week or should I say YEAR has brought us. It warms my heart to see how Texas came together for one another. I’m so thankful for a warmer day today and to see the snow melt!! ❤️❤️
Don’t worry the kids will go back to school eventually! 😫😂
If planning your meals and grocery shopping is new or something you are trying to adjust to, you can start by planning for just a couple of days. You could even choose to just plan out your weekly dinners or lunches, whatever works!
Keep in mind what your goal is for the week. Are you trying to make swatches for choices you’ve been making? Are you trying to save money? Avoiding certain ingredients or foods? This is where a health coach can come in to help you make the process less overwhelming!
I like to inventory what I have on hand already, make meals out of those items if possible and then make my whole weekly meal plan. I do shop on a budget normally so some weeks differ from others. This is the method I’ve used for a couple of years that has worked for me!
🛒Steps:
1. Make inventory list of items in fridge and pantry.
2. If possible make meals with items on inventory list.
3. Look at weekly ad for any store deals and coupons or items you can stock up on
4. Make weekly meal plan. (Look at your week ahead and see which days may be busier than others)
4. Make grocery list in order of store layout for fast in-and-out shopping or use curbside pickup if offered.
Having some sort of plan can help your week go more smoothly. Whether you stick to your plan or not at least you have some choices and ideas on hand of what you can eat! Let me know your thoughts or if you have any questions! 🤗

Home As an Integrative Nutrition* Health Coach, I create a supportive environment that enables you to articulate and achieve your goals. While having my own health issues I've realized the importance of prioritizing yourself in each area of your life, especially your health and nutrition!
Hello my beautiful people! 😃
I’ve been thinking a lot lately as to which route I want to go in as far as my health coaching. I wanted to come on here to announce that I will be focusing my business on helping busy moms navigate their health and wellness. For a while I feel like I’ve been pulled in a lot of directions that I could go in as far as coaching, but this route just feels right to me! It makes me excited to continue on this journey of helping others and providing valuable content on my page!
As a mom myself and having health issues in the past and continuing to deal with my autoimmune disease I know how hard it is to make yourself a priority. As moms it’s hard to take care of others when our own cup isn’t full, am I right?
I look forward to working with women that are ready to commit to their health and wellness. As your health coach I will be there along the way to encourage, support, and cheer you on because you matter!
My program is customize to meet you where you are and go at your pace. We will have monthly virtual check-ins and I’m there for you via text or email in between our sessions. Making change isn’t easy but it’s possible and shouldn’t be done alone! 😉
Message me for any info or questions you may have for me! Mommas, follow me on Instagram! 🤗💞
So you haven’t made a New Year’s Resolution yet? 🤔🤔
That’s okay, I haven’t either! Instead, I’ve been doing some reflecting on this past year. Looking at what really worked for me and what didn’t. I’ve never been the one to set New Year's Resolutions.. Why? Because they’ve always just failed or never started.
They’re normally set around losing weight or getting fit for the summer. I now look at health and overall wellness as a lifestyle so when this new year approached I didn’t feel on edge to do something productive or felt bad for the food I ate over the holidays.
Lately my saying has been “less is more” and if you’re looking for a change in your life look at those things you can remove that no longer bring you any joy and no longer work for you. Look at those daily habits you can change, those will lead to big ones. Don’t focus on losing the weight, focus on loving yourself just the way you are right now. The change and weight loss will come but it all starts with your mindset and how you see yourself! 💞
I’m here to coach those that want to make that lifestyle change but need support and accountability. I know it’s hard, I know those bad days will come and that motivation goes out wayyy before we want it to! When you change your mindset and know that life is for you not against you, and that you are in control of your actions and responses, that’s when it gets better!
I’m here coach people who are wanting to commit to themselves and their health. Whether it be to lose weight, have more energy, or build a better relationship with food, I’m here for you! But just know that we will go way beyond that!
If you’d like to chat one on one for more info on how I can support you, feel free to message me directly to get started! I am currently taking on clients and my holiday offer of $45 off your monthly payment is still good through January 31st!
Whatever it is that you want out of this year, it may take more time than you expected and probably even more hard work, but it’ll be worth it! ☺️
This next year I hope you choose to prioritize YOU! ✨
I hope you choose to let go of everything that doesn’t serve you anymore.
I hope you choose to not let the opinion of others drag you down or hold you back .
I hope you choose to do hard things and choose to try again.
I hope you choose to let go of self doubt and negative self talk.
I hope you choose to do more things that bring you joy and happiness!
Needing a helping hand on where to start? Reach out and we can discuss what you’d like to have more of in 2021! Cheers to you! 🥂
Happy Monday! Ended my Christmas week 🎄 with some soup and a fresh smoothie + a lot of napping! Enjoyed visiting with some family and eating a lot of yummy food over the week. 🥰🥰
What was your favorite food dish you had this year for the holidays? My favorite is always some good tamales! 🫔
When we feel good from within we are able to treat ours selves highly and allow others to see how beautiful living can really be when we choose to love and put ourselves first!✨
Wishing you all peace, love, wealth and happiness!
Happy Holidays!! ❤️❤️
A simple snack you can customize to your liking! I’ve been wanting to make these for myself and they didn’t disappoint!
Roasted Chick-Peas 🐥
•Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
•Drain & rinse chick peas. Place on sheet pan to pat or air dry. They should look matte when dry.
•Drizzle with olive oil & sprinkle with salt.
•Bake in oven for 20-30 minutes or until golden & crispy.
You can add any extra herbs or spices of your liking when done baking. Go savory or sweet with these! I added lime juice, chili powder, & a little more salt!
These are great to have on hand for a snack or to add to dishes like salads. They are an inexpensive and easy add to your diet. They’re packed with nutrients, rich in fiber & protein!
Let’s cultivate happiness this holiday season! We should be trying to cultivate happiness within ourselves and daily routine. Here are some ways we can do that this holiday season with ourselves and others!
❤️Reach out to those loved ones you won’t be able to see over the holidays. Take advantage of the internet to connect and express your love and gratitude for them.
❤️Be in the moment with those you are able to see over the holidays. Always nurture your relationships. Make a conscious effort to not only connect on the holidays but through out the year!
❤️Cook a meal for those who are unable to leave the home or may be alone during this time. See where you can help in your community and give to those in need.
❤️Look for ways to be kind, giving, and compassionate in your daily life. Take care of yourself and create a daily routine that works best for you during this time. Have something you look forward to daily, this can be something small as long as it brightens your day! Take the time to still exercise and sleep these both have powerful effects on your mental state. Eat well, enjoy the things you love, and love on those while you can!

“Food influences gene function, hormones, your immune system and even your gut flora. Literally, food controls every function within your body.” 🍎🥑🥕
Mounting research shows that there is no magic bullet to treat heart disease, cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis, allergies, digestive disorders, headaches, fatigue, or any of the myriad problems we suffer from in the 21st century.
But increasing evidence also shows us something else. It shows that food is the most powerful “drug” we have not just to prevent, but also treat, cure, and reverse most chronic illnesses. Food contains information that speaks to our genes, not just calories for energy. What you eat programs your body with messages of health or illness. We are learning from research in the field of nutrigenomics, that food “talks” to our DNA switching on or off genes that lead to health or disease.
Focus on having your plate be 75% non-starchy veggies, including healthy fats, and high-quality sustainable protein such as grass-fed beef and pasture-raised chicken and eggs.
So you’ve decided to make a change and live a healthier lifestyle but where do you start? These 5 steps can help you get started. After looking over these steps and putting a plan in place, feel free to message me on how we can dig deeper to help you achieve your health goals! ✨
1. Have a morning routine this will help set the tone for your day. Do at least one positive thing to help improve yourself during this time. (Workout, journal, meditate, etc.)
2. Drink your water, eat your fruits and veggies! You should be consuming at least half your body weight in ounces, more depending on your daily activity.
3. Find a physical activity you enjoy and make time for it 2-3 times a week.
4. Cultivate a positive mindset. The only thing between you and a good day is a bad attitude!
5. Always remember this is a lifestyle not a race. It’s ok to start over or pick up where you left off but never give up on where you’d like to see yourself!
You can do it, I’m rooting for you!
Have a great weekend🤗
I hope you all are having a good week and not letting those bad days ruin your day today! Let go of the things you can’t change and focus on what you can control~💞

When wanting to eat more clean and less toxic foods, eating organically is a great option to choose. If you’re anything like me you went on into your adulthood carrying eating habits and cooking meals that you grew up on as a child.
I’m not sure if more people are shopping organically because it’s a trend or they are more health conscious? Either way, I believe eating organic is not necessary when wanting to make better choices for cleaner options. For instance an item locally grown may be a better nutritional option versus something that is organic, flown in from California, and out of season. Make sense?
When wanting to save money and still shop for cleaner options, avoiding things on the EWG “dirty dozen” list that names the top produce testing positive for the most pesticides is a good list to refer to! You can find the EWG “dirty dozen” and “top clean 15” at ewg.org for reference.
Being clear on why you want to go organic is important, this even goes with household products, makeup, etc. When you're clear about it, making those financial choices about what items you choose to buy become easier. Making single swatches slowly for items you use on a daily basis is a good place to start. Again, everyone has different health goals in mind but I believe everyone can benefit from living a less-toxic lifestyle!
Let me know how you shop!
Do you shop conventional?
Do you shop organically?
Do you avoid items on the dirty dozen list?

But holding on to things that are no longer serving your higher self, growth l, and emotional health is harder..” -Alex Elle
How to support your immune system!
Happy November! Here’s 5 reasons why you should be shopping for produce that is in season~
🔸Nutrition.
Seasonally fresh produce is picked when they’re ripe and fully developed. The plant has more sun exposure, which means it’ll have higher levels of antioxidants.
🔸Environment.
Seasonal produce can grow without too much added human assistance (i.e. pesticides and genetic modification. Seasonal produce is also likely to be produced locally, which reduces the load on our environment due to transport, or “food milage”.
🔸Community.
Getting to know where your food is coming from, who is growing your food and how they do it also makes you feel more connected to the whole process.
🔸Home cooking.
Eating seasonally forces you to cook more so when you start to take back control of what you put into your body (the oils you cook with, sugar, and salt you add to your food, etc.), you will consciously make even more good choices for your health.
🔸Healing help.
Building a lifestyle around seasonal food facilitates the body’s natural healing process! For example: Apples grow in the fall, which makes them the perfect transition to get rid of excess heat and cool down before winter. In spring, an abundance of leafy greens help us alkalize, detox and lose some extra pounds after a long winter of heavier foods.
Trans and damaged fats are unhealthy, but the biggest culprit of abnormal cholesterol levels is not fat at all. It is sugar in all its many forms.
The biggest culprit of all is high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) found in soda, juices, and in most processed foods. That’s what causes cholesterol issues in most people, not saturated or total fat.
When you ingest fructose in high amounts without the associated fiber found in whole fruit, it turns on the cholesterol-producing factory in your liver called lipogenesis which makes super dangerous small LDL particles, jacks up your triglycerides, and lowers the HDL (or good) cholesterol. So does sugar in any form, including flour and refined carbs.

The way you talk to yourself matters.☝🏽
If all you seem to think about yourself is how much you're not measuring up, it may be time to change how you think. It can take some time and requires conscious daily effort but we should all try to change how we see ourselves especially if we are thinking negatively.
During my 1:1 coaching sessions we will work together on improving your relationship with yourself. The way we speak about ourselves can have an impact on our daily actions.
Some ways you can change your thinking is really listening to yourself. If you have to note down the things you think in your head throughout the day, do it! After analyzing what you say, question yourself about the things you wrote down.
•Did they really come from you?
•Did it come from what someone else said in the past?
•Are you just trying to read others' minds and filling your head up with nonsense?
•Are you overreacting?
Really ask yourself these things, it’ll help you recognize the flaws in your thinking. Treat yourself as a friend and speak highly of yourself. If you wouldn’t say it to your friend don’t say it to yourself either! Okay? 🤗💞
Happy Monday! This is my usual go-to when I need to have something fast but filling. Or when I wake up late getting my kiddo to school, it gets the job done!😬

Guess what I’ve been up to!
A whole lot of nothing this past week! Mack tested positive for covid and Blayze’s whole birthday weekend got canceled. So we’ve just been in quarantine 👎🏽
Took advantage of this time to take a break from social media and the many other to-do’s that occupy my mind most of the time.
It felt good to slow down and keep my mind busy with creative things like:
•puzzles 🧩
•adult book coloring 🎨
•coloring on my laptop 😁
But it was back to the basics yesterday and being productive + getting back to virtual learning 😬
Started my morning with a sweaty workout! Hope you all are taking time for yourself and slowing down when needed not only when you’re forced to💞
What do you like to do creatively in your spare time?
“Perfectionism keeps us from putting our good enough selves out into the world.”- Haley Goodrich
Be okay with falling short and not getting it right the first time. Sometimes getting something done is better than getting it perfect.
Don’t be afraid to start something just because you don’t know exactly how to do it.
Shift your mindset and get comfortable with imperfection. Be okay with always learning.
Do you suffer with perfectionism? Recovering perfectionist over here🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
The #1 thing that has helped me is seeking support and a perspective from someone who knows I’m a perfectionist. This helps me to focus on the bigger picture. It gives me a solid ground and the creative energy to start or keep moving! 💫
What helps you deal with perfectionism?
What’s held you back from the things you’ve always wanted?! For me, it’s been not knowing my worth.. For the longest time I felt undeserving of feeling worthy of anything.
Unworthy of having great things.
Unworthy of being loved.
Unworthy of just being me.
I believed those lies I told myself and that I needed to be okay with what I was dealt with. But you don’t have to settle with what’s been given..
You are worth so much more!
It’s time to release those beliefs and know that it’s okay to want + be more!
When we don’t feel deserving, we cling to mediocre things but that’s not you!
You are GOLD! ✨
You were meant to SHINE! ✨
