A baby or child’s fussiness at mealtimes, and refusal to eat can often be attributed to poor posture or uncomfortable eating position. Ensuring proper positioning from the moment your children start solids will be valuable in helping them to develop positive food associations and learning appropriate eating and mealtime behaviours. ​​​​​​​​

Always keep in mind the 90/90/90. Ideal sitting position for eating requires the hips, knees and feet to be at 90° with weight evenly distributed. A footrest and cushion support will help you achieve this.

I like to whip up a few batches of my no-bake Coconut snowballs for any unexpected visitors (and late-night treats of course) ⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
NO-BAKE COCONUT SNOWBALLS⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Makes 6 large or 12 small balls ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Prep 20 minutes⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

INGREDIENTS⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
100 g (1 ¼ cup) oats⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
80 g (1 cup) desiccated coconut⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
150 g (1 cup) pitted dates, soaked for 10 minutes and drained⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2 tsp vanilla extract⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 tbsp maple syrup⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
40 g (¼ cup) coconut oil⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1.5 tbsp water⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
METHOD⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Place all ingredients into a high-speed food processor and blitz until well combined.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Roll into balls and coat in additional coconut.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
STORE⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to four weeks.
