Raising a child is no easy feat. The difficulty in doing so is further augmented being a single parent. Even so, children raised by single parents can be as healthy mentally and physically as children raised with both parents. Here are some tips to keep in mind to create that conducive environment for growth every parent strives to establish for their children.

One of the difficulties single parents face in raising their children is achieving work-life balance, given how single parents are forced to not only be the sole contributor to child-rearing but also be the sole breadwinner of the family. As such, providing for financial aid and parental services will come a long way in making a single parent’s duties much more manageable.

NEWS: SENATE EXPANDING BENEFITS FOR SOLO PARENTS

Fortunately, the senate is performing initiatives to further provide assistance to those who would fall under the category of single parents. Specifically, amendments on the Solo Parents Welfare Act of 2020 shall include additional benefits and expanded definition of the ‘solo parents’ term. In other words, there will be an expanded and more specific description of who would be under the benefits of the law! The purpose of expanding the bill is to further prioritize the welfare of vulnerable individuals which is not only limited to the solo parents themselves, but also to their children.
