I did a TON of cooking this weekend 👩🍳....... 20 # of pulled pork 🐽 sandwich kits, 30 # of smoked brisket🐮 , 30 # of street corn 🌽 salad and 30 # of fried chicken🍗 (can't believe I didn't get a pic of that chicken 🤤) But I think these charcuterie cups for a neighborhood golf cart 🛺 crawl were my favorite 😍
Hello friends! My current commissary (kitchen) agreement is changing so Momma V is looking for a commercial space to lease, preferably with a kitchen, but willing to build one out if permissible. I'm not looking for a dine in restaurant, more of a take out style (small bakery, pizzeria, Subway) My focus is on the Southtowns, but I will consider other locations if the opportunity is right. After reevaluating actual cost I have made an adjustment (DISCOUNTED‼️) the Sunday Sauce 🎉 and I've had a few questions about sizing and ingredients so here's the 4️⃣1️⃣1️⃣
Momma's Sunday Sauce is a family recipe I got from grandfather Felix Milano. Its a hearty meat sauce made with a blend of pork and beef and slow simmered for 8 hours 🤤 It's available with or without mushrooms 🍄🟫(Babybellas)
8 oz will feed 1-2 ppl $5
16 oz will feed 2-4 ppl $10
32 oz will feed 4-8 ppl $15
A standard jar of sauce at the grocery store in typically 24 oz for reference.
Sauce will be ready Sunday and as of this posting I will have some still available.
I'm not sure when I'll be able to make these again and they sell out every time so get your order to me asap!
Everything will be ready for Sunday pick up.

I get asked all the time.... "what's your favorite thing to make" or "what's your specialty". I always stumble over that question. I love cooking a variety of things. I love learning and trying new things all the time. That's why I decided to do this one my own instead of working for a company. (Cuz it definitely wasn't for the money 🤣)
But I realized yesterday if I had to choose one thing it would be fried chicken. I don't get to make it very often. I love how excited everyone gets when I do make it. And that excitement is why I love doing this in the first place. And I make a pretty damn good friend chicken.

Entry #4 Dessert 🍮
The last category was dessert, and it had to be a CORN dessert. Ron made a Panna Cotta from cream steeped with corn. I candied some bourbon maple syrup and added bacon to it. We topped the whole thing off with a little caramel. As crazy as it sounds, it worked. It worked so well it won! 🏆
Entry #3 Chicken 🐔
For the chicken category, we submitted Jerk Chicken using a blend that Ron has been working on. I wish you could smell this picture. The smell and flavor from the seasoning were so vibrant! This chicken was so tender and juicy. I am going to be the first one in line when releases this blend. The plating didn't go exactly the way I envisioned it. I didn't realize I needed to get all 5 pieces of chicken in one box, so the pineapple salsa ended up hidden under the chicken. If you scroll back 2 or 3 days, you'll see the plating I usually do for Jerk Chicken that I planned to submit.
For me, this is a winner, winner, chicken dinner.

I plated these smokey, spicey, sweet, and sticky beauties with a colorful rainbow slaw and garnished with edible pansies. won the ribs category the last two years, so this year, it was time to pass the trophy to another hard-working team. 💪

For the sausage category, we submitted award winning 🌶Jalapeño Cheddar🧀 Chicken Sausage, which I plated with 🌽 corn and black bean🫘 salsa and garnished with fresh jalapeno slices and 🥒 cucumber flowers from Ron's garden 🌼. Maybe it didn't win at yesterday's event 🤷♀️, but I will tell you this exact plate has been my hyper fixation meal going on a year now 🤤. If you know me, I rarely will eat leftovers or the same thing multiple times in a week, but I never get tired of this one!
Is my food "authentic"? Well I'll tell you this.....it's authentically me💜

It took a lot of trial and error but I finally got it. If you've ever had a pulled pork sandwich on the coast of North Carolina then you'll know it's very distinct and different from the rest. For me, it taste like home 💜

Spent last night with my buddy Dan a.k.a The Sausage King of Buffalo, and my buddy Ron from American BBQ project fine tuning our plan for the Eden Corn Fest Cook Off this Sunday (and maybe a few pours of bourbon 🥃). Not to be too cocky but we're bringing our A-Game and packing the heat 💥

What an absolutely INCREDIBLE experience. Tonight, John and I attended a Farm to Table Dinner at . The afternoon started with a tour of the farm guided by owner Missy Dumars. We then sat outdoors at a gorgeous community table and enjoyed an exquisite meal prepared by that was beautifully paired with wines by . If you get the opportunity to attend one of these dinners, I HIGHLY recommend it. My words and pictures don't do it justice.

This weekend, I was able to work with a lot of people that I love partnering with. One of my favorites is .blonde.bakers how adorable are these cookies!?! 🦕👶☔️🍪
