Located near the old port of , La Boca is a very colorful neighborhood known for the brightly painted shanty houses and the Boca Juniors futbol stadium. It is now a popular tourist attraction to see the shanty houses and check out the local shops and restaurants along El Caminito.
Why is the La Boca neighborhood so colorful? In the 1960s, local artist Benito Quinquela Martรญn decided to use his neighborhood as a canvas, painting an abandoned street. It then grew to become a place for other La Boca artists to gather and contribute to the vibrant look of the neighborhood which locals embraced. Now it is a popular tourist attraction with shops, restaurants, and tango dancers along El Caminito.
Canyons, sandstone cliffs, and mountains oh my! One of 33 national parks in Argentina, Parque Nacional Talampaya is a must-see for anyone interested in natural wonders and seeing an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Because it is a protected archaeological site, the park can only be explored with a guided tour so you will want to plan accordingly.
Next time you are in , take notice of people walking around with a thermos in one hand and a small, interesting cup with bobilla straw in the other. They are enjoying the traditional South American beverage of mate tea (pronounced maa-tay). It is a custom to sip on this hot tea drink throughout the day and to share it with others

Ok, let's talk about , y'all. Be prepared for some busy airports!
The Transportation Security Administration () is set to screen over 17 million travelers during what is expected to be the busiest Labor Day travel period on record, from August 29 through September 4. The peak day will be August 30, with anticipating screening around *2.86 million* people.
This summer has seen the highest air travel volumes in TSA history. Notably, all ten of the busiest travel days in TSA history have occurred since May 2024, with a record set on July 7 when over three million people were screened in one day.
TSA Administrator David Pekoske commented, โTravel has reached new heights this summer, and TSA, alongside our airline and airport partners, is ready to handle the busiest travel period on record this Labor Day weekend. I commend our dedicated workforceโboth the TSOs at checkpoints and those working behind the scenesโfor their efforts in maintaining a secure transportation system and enhancing the passenger experience with new checkpoint technology.โ
To manage the increased travel volume, TSA will adhere to wait time standards of 10 minutes or less in TSA PreCheck lanes and 30 minutes or less in standard lanes. Travelers are encouraged to join the TSA PreCheck program to enjoy expedited screening without removing shoes, belts, 3-1-1 liquids, laptops, food items, or light jackets. Members should ensure their Known Traveler Number (KTN) is included in their airline reservation.
As a bit of an extra tidbit - Starting May 7, 2025, REAL ID will be required for air travel. Travelers will need a REAL ID-compliant form of identification, such as a REAL ID driver's license (marked with a star), or an alternative like a U.S. passport.
Today's incredible Argentinian featured hotel is Casa de Uco!
Donโt let the word โCasaโ fool you: this isnโt a shabby-chic B&B or a cozy family-run inn. It may be in the relative middle of nowhere, but Casa de Uco is stylish, state-of-the-art, sustainably built; an imposing concrete and glass structure poised amid world-class vineyards on the edge of a reflecting lake, with organic vegetables growing on the rooftop.

Spanning across Argentina and Chile, Patagonia is one of the most known geographical regions of South America and is known for its many glaciers, majestic mountain peaks, and wildlife. It is no wonder it is one of the tip bucket list destinations in the world.
In addition to its magnificent beauty, Patagonia is important to Argentinaโs history with it being the home of the first gauchos, or cowboys. Now with its sparse population, rather than gauchos, it is estimated that there are nearly as many penguins as there are people in the region.

Today's amazing Argentinian hotel is Algodon Wine Estates!
Algodon Wine Estates brings together two of the favorite pastimes of civilized gentlemen (and ladies): fine wine and golf. Their dramatic transformation of the rustic adobe house resulted in a contemporary villa-style hotel complete with spacious suites and a range of stylish amenities.

Estimated to have been created about 9,500 years ago, the Cueva de las Manos is an extraordinary piece of cave art. The name translates to cave of the hands, which is based on the many painted hands in the cave. There are also many animals and hunting scenes painted on the cave walls. Entre Cielos is a working vineyard, producing Malbec a short distance outside the city of Mendoza, but itโs about as far from rustic as it gets. Now one of the most recognizable dances, the Argentinian Tango originated in the 1870s from the brothels and low-class cafes of Buenos Aires.
