It’s been a minute since my last introduction dreamers and we have so many new dreamers here! 😀😀 So here we go! Here are 10 facts about me…

1. My name is Bukola! Pronounced Boo-koh-la. 😀 I’m Nigerian and have been in Regina for 7 years! But previously lived in the Maritimes Canada! 💕
2. I am a Christian and a believer! Lover of Christ as he is my foundation.🙏🏽
3. I am a wifey and mother to two wonderful babies; 3 years 👧🏾 and 7 months 👦🏾 old and when I’m not blowing balloons I am spending most of my time with my family.
4. I started DBC when I was on my first maternity leave out of fun in 2019 but officially in 2020 and it’s now a big passion of mine! 🎈
5. I love food, dance and travel! Wish I could travel more and explore the world! Hopefully sooner than later 🤞🏽
6. I am a creative and love all things handmade! Love trying new things and previously had a snacks business while in university!
7. I’m an introvert at heart ❤️ although I enjoy a good time out with friends and family and great conversations
8. I love planning events and parties! I guess that’s not a surprise.. I’ll easily put my hands up to plan family vacations! 🤩
9. One of my favourite things to do during the summer months is to go on long drives and sight seeing!
10. I believe in being fair and sincere in all I do. Showing compassion to others and being respectful 🙏🏽

This is a surreal moment in my journey as a balloon artist! Our first bridal show! May seem small to some but i wondered severally if I would be able to style these marquee LOVE letters the way I wanted!

At a point I felt hmm could be too much for me to take on? But… I believe we knocked it out of the park!! I say we because I couldn’t have done this without help from my hubby and partner in this business!

Now if there’s anything I have learned through this process… it’s that you can achieve whatever you set your mind towards! With determination, courage and patience you’ll find that you will be able to accomplish your goals!

This is why I do it!! My reason for showing up daily! 😍😍 The smile and happiness on my little ones face when she sees what I create and says “Wow mummy! Is it my birthday?” 🤣🤣 ☺️☺️

Yes my daughter believes it’s her birthday every time I create a display! 😂😂

If there’s anything I’m learning right now it is that it’s OKAY to take a break when it comes to creating content! It’s okay to take a breather and come back with fresh ideas than to overwork myself.

As a creative often times I feel the urge to create something all the time and if I don’t then I feel as though I’m not doing enough!😩😩

However, I’m learning to be more kind to myself. To know that I can’t give the best to my craft if I’m overworked!

To know that sometimes LESS IS MORE and to be okay with that! Truly it’s hard but a lesson I am willing to continue learning as I progress in my journey as an artist! 🙏🏽
