There Is No One Size Fits All Health & Fitness Plan
Yโall what works for you, works for you. You will make the most progress by making a plan that is unique to your goals and lifestyle.
To get started do some research and think about how you can make little changes now and build up so that you will be more likely to stick with it.
For an example: Iโve been working out for two months now, but I started working out only twice a week to get acclimated to the change. Then I increased to three times a week. Now, this is my first week shooting for four times a week.
Bonus Tip: If it doesnโt stick, adjust your plan and try again. You didnโt fail, you made progress by identifying what isnโt currently working for you ๐

Haircare is a learning process. Figuring out how to get your hair to perform the way you want it to takes time. Enjoy the journey! Just keep in mind that your hair is unique and it is cute because you say so! Donโt compare your hair to others, just embrace it! That is self-love!

Moisturize Even If You Have Oily Skin
I have oily skin and us oily skin people still need to moisturize.
Sometimes we are oily because our products are drying out our skin. Not only does the proper moisturizer for your skin type helps balance your natural oils, but it also gives your skin the nutrients it needs.
Just make sure that you use a lightweight moisturizer if you have oily akin.
My favorite lightweight moisturizer that I have been using for years is Ceraveโs Ultra Light Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 30

Haircare Tip of The Week:
Consider your curl pattern, hair porosity, and hair density when selecting hair products
These three components are important when taking care of your hair.
- Knowing your curl pattern helps you understand how your hair may respond in different situations. For ex: some curl patterns have more shrinkage or some curl patters do not hold twists well. Curl patterns range from 1 to 4c.
- Knowing your hair porosity teaches you how to moisturize your hair and products you may want to avoid or use. Porosity can be low, medium, or high. For ex: someone with low porosity hair may want to use heat when deep conditioning to open up the hair cuticles and get moisture in. They may also be protein sensitive; thus, do protein treatments less frequently and may not be able to use coconut oil.
- Knowing how dense your hair let you know how much of a product you may need. For ex: someone with high density hair will need more of a product than someone with low density hair.

The way that works is I figure out the barriers to my health goals. One barrier for me is unhealthy snacking...
To help with this I find HEALTHIER snacks that I actually enjoy to replace the unhealthy ones I like.
How is this sustainable? I enjoy eating it and it tastes good so if I buy it I will eat it.
Itโs been tough as a sugar and carb addict but I found some snacks that I actually like that are WAYYYYYY healthier than what I usually eat. So Iโm sharing them with you all and for anyone else who struggles with finding healthy snacks...

-Pat dry skin instead of wiping it
When you wipe your skin you can cause irritation and remove too much moisture. It is recommended that you pat dry excess water.

I had the opportunity to receive and try a face wash from and . Here are my thoughts...
What I love about this face wash is how luxurious and creamy it feels on my skin ๐ค Washing my skin with this was very relaxing and enjoyable! It also lathered and cleansed very well!
This face wash is undeniably good at what it claims to do and that is hydrate and give a youthful radiance ๐

This is officially my favorite beach in Jax so far ๐ค
So I moved to Jacksonville, FL from Northern, VA a few months ago. Since my big move I have only been to the beach once. It just has not been hot enough on my free days ๐ฅด.
Yesterday I was able to go to the beach and it was sooo relaxing and beautiful. This time I explored a new portion of Jacksonville BeachโPonte Vedra Beach. I absolutely love it there!!!
What I loved soo much about it was it wasnโt super packed (although that may change as it continues to heat up outside) and that the water on this side had a little bit of a turquoise look ๐. The surrounding neighborhood also seemed to have nice luxury homes on the beach front ๐
I cannot wait until my next hot free day so that I can go back ๐

Skincare Tip Of The Week:
- Dry Your Face With Disposable Towels Instead Of Reusable Cloths
Ex: Paper towels & biodegradable disposable towels
Here's Why...
- The conditions we keep our reusable towels/cloths in are usually humid/moist which is a breeding ground for bacteria and other microorganisms.
- Detergent and other elements could be left over on clean towels even after you wash them.
**These factors can potentially irritate sensitive skin**
I've been using disposable towels for over a year and they have made a huge difference in my skin's appearance
To My Eco-Friendly People:
- Using things like paper towels aren't exactly the best option for our planet. Instead of using regular paper towels there are biodegradable disposable face towels.
- Some companies with biodegradable disposable towels even go as far as planting trees for each order.
**While these options can be costly, your skin and the environment will thank you**

Thereโs not a single negative in my life that hasnโt been flipped into a positive.
With all of the negative experiences we have, I promise you it can ALWAYS be turned into something good. We donโt have to continue to let our past and bad experiences impact us in negative ways. So yes I am saying letting it impact us is in fact a CHOICE.
Although freedom from our past is a choice by no means is it an easy decision or a quick change. It is a conscious decision we make, that involves intentional and difficult continuous work.
It is a PROCESS.
Everyone's process is different. Some people need assistance (there is absolutely nothing wrong with this) and others do not.
You can be free, start your process. Start working on you!
How?
- Pray
- Read a self-help book on the area you are struggling in ๐
- Go to therapy (we all could benefit from this)
- Self-correct when you have negative thoughts by taking those and pointing out the good in it
- Look for more positive ways to let off steam
- Make self-care a routine for maintenance instead of doing it as needed
These are just some examples but there are many more ways ๐

Iโll leave straightening my Type 4 natural hair to the professionals. Lol it is labor intensive & my environment failed me ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ.
My hair wouldnโt last an hour due to the humidity ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ. I still got a nice length check and trim in tho so hey it was worth it!

Sometimes we hear things like...Cold showers improve mood, helps your skin, increases mental strength and more....
I decided be the guinea pig and try it since I advocate HARD for healthy skin and emotional wellness...
So I took ONLY cold showers for 3 weeks to see if I would actually reap the benefits...While this was a VERY DIFFUCLT challenge I have some results I would love to share with you...
