After a tough last round where we picked up a crap load of damage, we have got the car straight and packed ready for Sydney Motorsport Park for round 4 of the Series X3 NSW - Hyundai Excel Racing championship ! Doesn’t quite look the same but fingers crossed it goes ok !! Sydney Motorsport Park CERA Australia
Well what a tough weekend of racing. After qualifying 14th out of 40 odd cars, PB by half a second, we started race 1 in 11th position, after some penalties were handed out to some other cars. On lap three of the race I blew a seal on the oil cooler and put oil all over my my tyres and the track. This spin the end result ! After a DNF in race 1 we bypassed the cooler and got back out for the last two races just making up the numbers ! Huge thanks to gear motoring, and W32Motorsport for all there help to get me back in the track !! Sorry to all the other drivers that I affected during race 1 with all the oil, causing the race to end under safety car ! Final preparations complete for this weekends racing at Wakefield Park. Currently sitting 4th in the Matsers Championship, hopefully move further forward this weekend ! We were sitting in a good position before being turned around in the last race, but as they say, that’s racing ! Next stop Wakefield Park late next month !! And the calendar is set for racing in 2022 ! Going to be a long season with 5 sprint rounds and 4 endurance events ! Hopefully STC Motorsport will get out for some testing through the new year before we kick off at SMP in February !!
