Sometimes things just don’t go as planned and we potters experience a bit of discouragement. Some pots were ruined but All in all I think “everything’s gonna be alright”…Thankfully… I think I saved the kiln shelf with a little hammering, angle grinding and adding more kiln wash to the shelf #

Yep, that’s one of my handmade mugs that I’m holding near the hummingbird. Note the hummingbird decal on the Camp Dick mug. We love visiting Camp Dick and that is the place that inspired this mug.
A little hummingbird show put on for us today at Camp Dick. Also staring at the beginning of the show is one of my handmade pottery mugs! Enjoy!

A shout out for pottery tools! I used the to put some nice texture on the bottom 1/3 of this mug and I used the for the handle. I’ll post a picture of the mug after it is finished. It still has to go through the bisque, glaze and final firing. Cross your fingers that it makes it through the rest of the process. I have high hopes for this mug!
