Thankful for a boss that got me involved in a great organization and mostly for giving me the space to do what I need to do to get ready for it! Find something that feeds your soul while letting you practice something that makes you happy. For me it's being creative...

I know I have said it a thousand times but it's so true...baby stuff is my favorite thing to do because it's always so stinking cute! These went out to one of my oldest friends who is having her first grand baby. I hope the mom to be likes them and I hope that sweet boy gets almost as spoiled as Hunter!

A few months ago I was able to be a part of collecting items for a fallen officer's family. When my coworker (he's really a friend!) first started talking about collecting patches he wanted to do something for a five year old little boy to show him how much people from all over the country cared about his dad and wanted to make sure he knew people were praying for him. The more we talked about what to do with the patches the more my heart lead me to argue that the officer left more than one son. He had a wife and four kids...no way I could stand not giving each one of them something.
Luckily I work for a really good guy and he understood my reasons (and my crazy) and said "go for it"!!!
Our next stroke of luck was the outpouring of support from the community and by community, I mean each and every person that shared post and messages and donated enough patches for five quilts.
Actually, we could have continued making the five quilts bigger and bigger due to so many patches. Thankfully my friend stopped me or they would have been so heavy nobody could hold them up!
Today we were able to give the Kelly family a small token of our appreciation for everything Shawn did for the community. So I am here to say thank you to each and every person that sent us patches and coins...it isn't perfect but it had so much love and so much prayer involved I really hope it brings them some joy.

I'm so into making baby stuff right now. This set went to a friend in Michigan for a shower gift she needed. I have a couple of shower gifts coming up but I don't think that's enough for me to make everything I want to make! If anybody is interested in baby stuff please let me know. I have some amazing ideas floating around in my head that need to be made.
