Third Thursday at Dumont Plaza in downtown Meridian will close out the 2023 season on September 21st from 5:30-8:30. Two local favorites, The Blues Messengers along with Sparrow Broughton will be bringing the entertainment.
The Mississippi State Games Commissioner James Hearn will be the one to beat in the TABLE TENNIS CHALLENGE. All ages are invited to step up to the challenge with gift certificates going to the lucky winners.
You can also enjoy art exhibitors, food trucks, snow-cones and ice cold beverages.
It’s another family friendly and pet friendly Third Thursday brought to you by the Meridian Council for the Arts and sponsored by Mississippi Arts Commission, City of Meridian-Government, Visit Meridian, The Paul and Sherry Broadhead Foundation, Magnolia Beverage Company, Inc. and Mitchell Distributing .

Looking forward to seeing y'all!
“River Water” is an original about growing up in the cotton fields of Alabama, living on a red dirt road, and spending time renewing our souls on the banks of the Tombigbee. It’s also a tip of the hat to the great singer songwriter Emmylou Harris, who wrote “Red Dirt Girl”. The souls of my feet are forever stained from my barefoot red dirt girl days of childhood.
I do truly try thank God every day for all the beauty of this region. Can I get an Amen?
