502 Film is 3 years old today!

In those 3 years we have spoken to hundreds of production companies about our incentives and pitched our exceptional crew, vendors, and locations. We have promoted our city at Sundance, TIFF and the American Film Market, put on PA and departmental trainings, formed partnerships with our city and tourism officials, and we are excited about growing our organization and our industry even more.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us in our first 3 years!

We appreciate the producers who utilize and trust our information and referrals. We love our beautiful city and our community - especially the crew and vendors who are on our database and the people who take our classes. Thank you for trusting us and our commitment to you!

Cheers to letting us play, grow and work alongside all of you! We can’t wait to show you what’s next ❤️

Sundance Sets Three Cities as Finalists for Future Home of Film Festival 12/09/2024

Louisville's run as a finalist to be the future home of the Sundance Film Festival may be over but our momentum is not.

60+ of the finest individuals representing Louisville's arts, cultural and environmental orgs, education, civil rights and politics came together in a fashion I have never experienced to put our city's bid on the map. I am proud of what we achieved together over these past 6 months, excited for the continued growth of our film economy and know this is not the end for potential partnerships with Sundance in the future.

Thank you to everyone who supported this push, to everyone who got excited for it, to everyone who found new or increased pride in the city we call home. Our committee showed up to show off the very best of why we have so much to be proud of here.

Let's not feel down about not being the future home of this Festival. Let's celebrate what got us this far, what is growing here, what makes us SO FREAKING SPECIAL, and what we have coming up in the near future.

Onward - and now GO TEAM Film Cincinnati! Bring it home!

Sundance Sets Three Cities as Finalists for Future Home of Film Festival The roster includes Boulder, Colorado; Cincinnati, Ohio; and Salt Lake City/Park City, Utah, with the latter marking a move from the festival's central headquarters in Park City to the larger state capital.

The top secret project I’ve been working on is out of the bag!

For the past 2+ months, I have worked alongside the Mayor, the Office of Arts + Creative Industries and the most incredible committee I could ever dreamed of. We get to make the news public right now that our city has been chosen as a finalist to be the future home of the Sundance Film Festival. We will be having a site visit from the Sundance Institute in the coming weeks to see what we already know - Louisville is the incredible place for artists and for film!

Excited to share more soon, but for now, we celebrate! 3p press announcement open to all at the Palace Theatre today at 3p.

Much love, Louisville. Thankful I have the space and place to do what I love with who I love in the city I love so much.

Proud moment for 502 Film! We are now official members of the Association of Film Commissioners International.

What does that mean exactly?

It means we ascribe to the best practices of the AFCI for representing, promoting and growing the film industry in our community. We are now a part of hundreds of commissions and organizations who help fuel economic growth and through the education and resources provided to its members, the AFCI will only help us continue to grow - as an organization and industry.

We will have access to marketing resources, educational seminars and the mutual support from other AFCI members to help us move what we are all building together in 502 to the next level.

Cheers to what we are all building together - equitably, sustainably and supportively. 502 Crew, we think you are the best of the best and we can’t wait to keep going and growing with you!
