Some Medicare Advantage plans have a $0 Part C premium and cover up to 100% of the Part B premium too!
Medicare Advantage plans include Part A and B and most offer Part D coverage. Many offer extra benefits like vision, dental and wellness.
If your providers are in-network, you can save on the cost of health services and get additional benefits compared to Original Medicare.
If you’re new to Medicare, you must enroll in Original Medicare before selecting a Medicare Advantage plan.
MEDICARE PART C-
Medicare Advantage plans are private insurance and provide Part A and Part B coverage. Most Medicare Advantage plans include Part D along with dental, vision, and hearing benefits.
How It Works
Medicare Advantage (Part C) replaces Original Medicare (Part A & B), but offers the same Part A & B benefits or coverages as Original Medicare. Along with receiving Part A & B benefits, Medicare Part C often bundles your benefits with additional ones like dental, hearing, vision, and prescription drug coverage. When you have Medicare Part C, your Part C benefits ID card replaces your Medicare ‘Red, White & Blue’ card at every visit.
The Value
Along with Medicare Parts A and B, most Medicare Advantage plans include Part D, and extra health and wellness benefits. Most Medicare Advantage plans can offer lower monthly premiums and out-of-pocket maximums.
PART A-
Medicare Part A provides coverage to U.S. citizens age 65 and older for inpatient stays in hospitals and similar facilities.
The large majority of those eligible for Medicare Part A doesn’t have to pay a monthly premium but are responsible for a benefit period deductible for every qualifying hospital stay and daily coinsurance after 60 days.
You can enroll in Part A at any time; if you do so less than six months before turning 65, coverage is retroactive to the first day of the month you turned 65.
Part A, paired with Part B, provides extensive healthcare coverage and opens the door to add coverage.
PART B-
Medicare Part B works with Part A to make up Original Medicare.
Part B helps cover medical services. These services can include medical treatment, preventive services, durable medical equipment, and vaccines.
You are eligible to enroll in Medicare Part B the year you turn 65, but some circumstances allow you to sign up before and after 65.
The Part B monthly premium for 2021 starts at $148.50 and is income-based. Your final Part B cost also includes a deductible and out-of-pocket coinsurance.
What is Medicare?
Medicare is health insurance for people 65 or older. You’re first eligible to sign up for Medicare 3 months before you turn 65. You may be eligible to get Medicare earlier if you have a disability, End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), or ALS
Original Medicare has two parts: Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B.
How it Works
Part A and Part B combine to cover medical and hospital insurance for individuals 65 years of age and older.
The Value
Medicare customers can see any doctor in the country that accepts Medicare.
