i feel like someone needs to hear this…
to some of you, lately your life has felt like this picture. a blur. mundane. like the zeal you once had for the future has run out. i understand. however, its in those moments where we don’t see the full picture, and when GOD’S tender and powerful voice whispers, “just trust me.”
that’s the joy that we have as his. if you are in Christ, there is hope and joy far beyond feelings. because it is more REAL than pure emotion. and there is a great assurance that he WILL see it through. because he is one who never lies.
so hold your chin high and smile wide. you are a child of the King. and remember… he loves to work the impossible and is full of surprises, so you never know what is just around the corner.

It was such an honor to hang out, and even sing with, CCM legend this weekend!
If you don’t know who Russ Taff is, he has been in the music business for a long time. Beginning with joining The Imperials at the age of 22 in the 1980s, he has won a total of 6 Grammy and 18 Dove Awards.
He immediately recognized the artist anointing on me the first time he even saw me. He didn’t even need to hear me sing. God definitely used him in those short moments to remind me that God sees… He sees the dreams that I’ve been tempted to give up on. He has seen the times I’ve cried out for opened doors and the frustration of feeling “stuck” in the hidden places.
Friends, He sees you. And He is so faithful to remind you of the calling He has on your life. Keep seeking, keep knocking, keep being faithful, and the door will be opened to you. God is so kind.
The best is yet to come 🙌🏻

4 islands, 12 night services back to back, and 6 morning teaching lessons later, we have watched God move in the young people and witnessed His powerful hand on the entire state of Hawaii!

Mahalo and for having me back, for being such great leaders, and for sacrificing so much for the youth of Hawaii. To the others who worked so hard (the youth leaders, the missions teams, etc.) on this tour, GREAT JOB!

I’m currently at the same grand piano at the same house that I sat in as a 16 year old, a young girl with so many questions and dreams... and 8 years later, with so many memories of this place, I’m still doing it. For those of you who are close friends of mine, you have known me to not be able to drive. You had to drive me EVERYWHERE and for that I’m SO thankful!

The truth is is that I had a terrible fear of driving. Many nights I would have nightmares about crashing, and every time I stepped into the driver’s seat I would feel myself going into a mini panic attack.
Well all I can say is GOD IS FAITHFUL. I now have my driver’s license and have bought my very first car all in a matter of 2 months. God’s timing is definitely perfect! 🙌🏻

For those who struggle with fear and anxiety, I would encourage you to not hold back. Do it afraid... God is with you and He never forsakes His children. 🙌🏻

Immature Praise

As I look back on this song I wrote and performed with ORU, I now understand that I didn't know that my praise would soon be tested. I felt like I was on top of the world then. Everybody on campus knew who I was, and then as my college career was about to come to a close, the Lord asked me to go where I told Him that I would never go. And even here in this season, I am still learning how immature my praise has been.
Praise isn't singing and dancing on stage with a congregation. It is not even singing and dancing on the floor looking to the worship leaders on the platform. Praise isn't something that is only done when we are feeling like celebrating and thanking God. If that is all you are doing, I hate to break it to you, friend: your "praise" is merely foolish.
Paul spoke to the believers at Corinth, a church that was destroyed by immoral behaivor and immaturity. In 1 Corinthians 13:1, he writes: "if I speak in the tongues of men or angels (and may I add shout and dance and sing like madman in a praise service), but do not have LOVE, I am only a resounding gong or clanging cymbal" (NIV).
Praise is the joyous celebration in delighting in the One whom you LOVE, the One who is worthy of your life. Love celebrates and cherishes even in the mundane. Love is obeying the Lord wholeheartedly even when He asks you to do something that offends your flesh.
Praise is delighting in His goodness when the world around you does not look good. And then, friends, once you do that, you may know what it means to give your best praise.
