5 YEARS!
today my blog turns 5 years old, I'm realy proud of myself for doing this even tho I've had my ups and downs with this blog .

I wanted to write a whole blog for this occasion but I couldn't afford to fix my laptop ,so I dont think I'll be posting in the time to come, it's also the reason I haven't posted in a while. My laptop had issues with the keyboard it would spamm letters or they wouldn't work at all it's pretty hard to write a blog that way. Buying a new keyboard didn't do anything cause I couldn't turn the one build in off. The keyboard I got for my tablet also isn't working anymore.

I wil use this time to brainstorm for blogs to come and also read and watch stuff to learn how to write better blogs!

Over these 5 years I've written many blogs but also taken many down when I got that copyright claim on an image I used. Since then I am realy careful .

I started an amazing serie that im proud of called ace diversity where I let other aces share their stories to show the diversity .

Outside of my blog the ace mind also helps with other stuff, interviews, cals with people who want an ace character in their show, more interviews some of them with students for their school project and more. I love doing all of those things and can't wait to see what the future brings to the ace mind!

Disability Pride Month is a time to celebrate the strength and diversity of people with disabilities.

As an as*xual biromantic autistic person, I know firsthand how important it is to feel included and valued. It's crucial that we continue to work towards creating more inclusive ways of celebrating (q***r) pride for disabled people. Everyone deserves to feel accepted and celebrated, regardless of their abilities or s*xual orientation.

We are entering into the early development stages of our first series of projects! We are looking to produce and fundraise stories centering the As*xual experience. Unlike what we have seen so far, we want the ground floor of this to be "by Aces for Aces," intentionally wanting the community to be intimately involved from start to finish. Already, our team has started writing two scripts for film, brainstorming ideas for a concept piece, and talking about music videos! The sky is the limit to what we can do when we work together toward more excellent Ace representation. Let's create something beautiful, beloved! I got my ASD diagnosis in December 2021, learning this part of myself has changed my life.

Ever since my diagnosis I have been wondering about the connection between autism and as*xuality but haven't gotten myself a clear answer yet. Writing a blog about this has proven me difficult and since it's so important to me I don't want to rush it.

It recently was international women's day, something I found important on that day to share but didn't was the fact that women are often late diagnosed with autism. I was almost 21 when I got my diagnosis.
This is because a lot of things in Healthcare are based of man and boys and only recently has there been growth in diagnosis in women.
This matters to me because I know how much I've struggled with my undiagnosed autism and if I had gotten my diagnosis earlier in life my life could have been easier or at least I would have understood myself better earlier.

I can't wait to finish my blog about autism/ neurodiversity cause it's truly important to me.
But until then I'm glad to have shared this part.

Happy new year,

Do you have any new years resolution? I don't but I do realy wanna blog more this year.

The past two years I've been working hard on my mental health and it still something I struggle with and work on.
But I've been working hard on ideas to write new blogs this year I've started writing and my first one of 2023 has arived!

We are going back to the Basics. With some basic info about as*xuality. Some of these topics are gonna be highlighted in blogs to come with more info about them.

It's also gonna be my first dutch blog to come online! So for my duch followers happy reading.

So Tuesday I was on the radio trots again (dutch) I was there in 2020 which was one if. heleen is such a fun sweet radio but also Super intrested in understanding what as*xuality is. Time always flies by tho!
This time I was there with a fellow volunteer .boekhoudt which first of all just was so much fun but also it brought so much more to the interview. With each our own stories and ace identities we could explain the spectrum realy well.
It was truly an amazing experience I feel very lucky that I got to do this.
I'm not always the most active activist compared to others but moments like this realy spark that light within me give me the power to keep going♥️
But besides that it's just lovely to be with such amazing passionate people.

Saturday I went to

I handed out all flyers we had with us, cause I find it very important that more people know what as*xuality realy is.
After the walk we went to the info stands to talk with some other organizations and make connections.
And after that got some food and danced for a little while before me and my twin headed home.

I love pride but with my autism it's very overstimulating, it's the reason I ended up not going to pride amsterdam. I was afraid that I would get overstimulated and get panicked and then Have to travel back a few hours. I even hesitated going to pride zwolle but im glad I ended up going cause it was an amazing day. Yes I got sensory overloaded and am still recharging but I did gain an amazing experience.

A while ago I created a new project called ace diversity. I got no entrees and I feel like that might be because the document expanding it was a bit long.thats why I created these images to explain it.

The idea is to create a blog series in which I share the stories of as*xual.
The point is to show the diversity in the as*xual community.
And the show how experiences differ for every as*xual.

My blog is written from my point of few (s*x-repulsed, biro-ace, white, 20, dutch, cis-female)
Even tho I try to informatie people that it is my experience and that it differs for every as*xual I do feel like it would be great for people to read stories from different experiences.

Any as*xual can join but I am especialy looking for people who are demi, grey, aromantic, not white, older or younger then 20, s*x favorable or s*x indiverent.
People who break as*xual stereotypes. People who use as*xual microlabels.
This is about diversity so I can't name everything here But hope some people will read this and wanna share their story.

Voorbeelden zijn Sheldon Cooper uit The Big Bang Theory of Sherlock uit de gelijknamige BBC-serie. Dit zorgt voor allerlei vervelende stereotypes. Maar wat nou als je zelf zowel autistisch als aseksueel bent? Ben je dan een wandelend stereotype? Onze vrijwilliger Peter beschrijft hoe hij de intersectie van aseksualiteit en autisme ervaart.
