Following their crashed lover affair, Tonto D**eh’s ex lover, Prince Kpokpogri has revealed how his relationship with the Nollywood actress started and the events leading up to their most recent encounter. Kpokpogri, in an interview with Premium Times, claimed that Tonto literally forced the relationship to happen as he was not that interested.

In his words; ”I was not into the relationship as she was, have you ever wondered why she was always posting our relationship here and there on social media, and I did little or less posting?

Kpokpogri added; “Tonto is yet to return my car, my iPhones, and the gold earrings that she borrowed from my daughter amongst my other properties in her possession.”

The chairman of the Anti-Corruption and Integrity Forum, also said that he is not a blackmailer as his estranged ex-lover and her colleague had claimed.

Man put to death by lethal injection for 1991 murder of woman who was abducted during robbery and killed in cemetery.

An Alabama man has been put to death by lethal injection for the 1991 killing of a woman who was abducted during a robbery and then shot in a cemetery.

Willie B. Smith III, 52, received a lethal injection at Alabama's Holman Correctional Facility in Atmore on Thursday night October 21.

He je**ed twice from his gurney as officials injected him with midazolam, the Montgomery Advertiser reports, and he was pronounced dead at 9.47pm local time.

Smith reportedly did not have any last words and refused a last meal before his ex*****on on Thursday. It was his second ex*****on date since February 11.

On that date, Smith was already in a holding cell near the death chamber and the U.S. Supreme Court agreed with his appeal that he could not be put to death without his pastor present.

This time, the nation's highest court rejected a late request for a stay by his lawyers, who had argued that the ex*****on should be blocked on grounds that Smith had an intellectual disability.

He had his spiritual adviser, Pastor Robert Wiley, with him at his ex*****on Thursday night, according to the Montgomery Advertiser, who put a hand on Smith's leg at the beginning of the ex*****on.

Smith was convicted in 1992 of kidnapping and murdering 22-year-old Sharma Ruth Johnson in Birmingham.

Prosecutors said he had a shotgun when he abducted Johnson in October 1991 from an ATM location in the Birmingham area. He and an accomplice forced Johnson into a trunk, then had her recite her ATM number to take money from the account.

They withdrew about $80 from her account before driving her to a cemetery, where Smith then shot Johnson - who was still in the trunk- in the back of the head and burned the vehicle in an attempt to remove his fingerprints.

According to court documents, Smith was afraid she was going to call the police about the robbery.

Johnson was the daughter of a Birmingham police officer.

'Sharma Ruth Johnson was abducted at gunpoint, threatened while in the trunk of the car, terrorized, assaulted, and ultimately, Willie B. Smith, III brutally killed her,' Gov. Kay Ivey said in a statement issued after the ex*****on.

'In that final moment of this young lady´s short life, Mr. Smith, after learning Ms. Johnson was the daughter of a law enforcement officer, made the choice to put a shotgun to her head, stealing this woman´s future.'

'The evidence in this case was overwhelming, and justice has been rightfully served,' she added.

Shelley Luna, a friend of Johnson's, described her to the Advertiser as 'the most humble person, very soft-spoken, very kind.'

'She just kind of oozed sweetness,' Luna said. 'Anybody that crossed her path would say that ... She was the easiest person in the world to be friends with and talk to. It just makes her murder that much harder - you always wonder why do bad things happen to good people?'

In a statement read by Alabama department of Corrections Commissioner Jeff Dunn before the ex*****on, Johnson's family said: 'After waiting for 30 years, justice has been served.'

Her family was present at the ex*****on, Dunn said, but wanted to remain anonymous.

Femi Otedola now majority shareholder of FBNH

Billionaire business investor, Femi Otedola, has acquired the majority shares of FBN Holdings (FBNH).

Otedola is reportedly behind a massive mop-up of the shares of FBN Holdings, which would result in his becoming the single majority shareholder of the company.

Sources with knowledge of the purchase said majority ownership of FBN Holding Company, owners of Nigeria’s oldest bank, First Bank, is about to be upturned following months of slow and meticulous purchase of the company shares on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange by Otedola.

Otedola has been gradually accumulating his ownership and surpassing shares owned by any other single shareholder of the bank.

An official announcement would be coming in the days ahead.

Otedola has been acquiring the shares of the bank through a vehicle, Calvados Global Services Limited. It is also likely that there could be other vehicles associated with Otedola who may have also been mopping up shares.

FBNH currently has 34.7 billion of its shares floating freely meaning it is held by diverse shareholders. This makes the shares easy to acquire on the stock exchange.

It was gathered that Otedola, through his proxies and investing vehicles, now owns over five per cent of the bank, setting himself up to be the single largest shareholder of the bank.

Industry assumptions have often suggested billionaire Oba Otudeko is the single majority owner of the bank, considering the enormous control he wielded over the bank for years. However, his latest debacle with the Central Bank following the failed removal of current MD/CEO Adesola Adeduntan marked a sudden end to his control of the bank providing an opening for Mr Otedola to move in on controlling the bank.

The latest audited account of FBN Holdings does not have any shareholder with up to 5% of the ownership of the bank's shares. However, Mr Otedola now owns over 5% of the bank.

FBNH currently has a total outstanding shareholding of 39.5 billion units and a market capitalization of N423.5 billion. According to information contained in the 2020 FY report of the bank, 40 shareholders owned 31.03% of the bank while no individual shareholder held more than 5% of the bank. Shareholders with over 5% ownership of shares of a publicly quoted company are statutorily expected to declare ownership publicly.

The financial statement of the company also states Dr. Oba Otudeko owns 532 million units or 1.3% holding of the company. Oye Hassan Odukale reportedly owns 370 million units of the bank according to the information contained in its 2020 annual reports. The owner of Globacom, Mike Adenuga is also a major shareholder of the company but is thought to own far fewer shares than Oba Otudeko and the Odukales. It is also likely that they have other shares owned by proxies but not included in the shareholdings disclosed publicly.
