after 10 months, the Death Star Detention center camera kits are finally back in stock on the website!
this is a new version, my final and best version I hope. The back plate is now laser cut from 8mm black acrylic and is protected on both sides by a plastic sheet.
get them while they are available and enjoy that fun (not so little) prop!

Hello there,
The second batch of motorized Luke stunt sabers is ready for tonight!
The release is now in 4h. Still 8PM CET as planned :) grab one when they are released or miss them this time, only 13 of those tonight, this is the last chance!
65 kits done in total for that run, 40 of those motorized! I'm not doing that again in the future, I can't deny this was a super cool project, but there are other cool things to focus on too ;-)

Considering the big success the motorized sabers got for the pre-release, being sold out under an hour, I have ordered 15 other motors to convert a second batch of kits to motorized (about a dozen or so, 15 motors is for safety).
this means two things:
- The public release on the website is still today Monday 10th at 8PM CET, however, I have reduced the stock of kits and marked the motorized sabers as "back soon!". People interested in kits are welcomed to get one tonight of course :-)
- It will probably take a couple of weeks for me to receive the new batch of motors, so I'll need people to be patient with me, nothing I can do here. However, I'll get to work as soon as i receive the motors :-)

Big big project coming to an happy end! Motorized ANH luke/Vader shared stunt lightsaber. The very first lightsaber that we see light up in the original trilogy! very special :-)
5 different options from a base option with only the main parts, to full kits, to cool display versions and awesome motorized assembled versions!

Pre-release for the people on the run list is tomorrow Saturday 8th at 8PM CET. Public release with what will be left is 48h later on Monday 10th at 8PM CET. 63 sabers in total for the run.

Luke ANH Stunt sabers assembly line!

Hey there,
Just a few snaps from the work on the Luke/Vader ANH shared stunt saber tubes.

Figuring how to be perfectly accurate when working with hand opperated machines, no CNC can be tricky. Here I used several resin printed jig directly from my 3D model to insure everything was perfectly accurate. It's very tiring work but it's working like a charm and I'm extremely happy with the results!

Macrobinoculars machined mystery triangles are now back in stock as well, and looking nice as ever :-)

Stainless steel long Macro-binoculars belt clips (screen-accurate version) are finally back in stock on my website!
Will work on machining a few aluminium triangles as well tomorrow to have most of the macros stuff in stock and be a nice one stop shop for those again :-) Remember, I also have several types of vintage EIAJ plugs in stock at a great price.

I had a new batch of long belt clips laser cut at least a year ago and sitting on my bench. I managed for the first run to bend them accurately and consistently by hand by some miracle but I couldn't manage to do it anymore when I received the new batch. So those were abandonned on the bench and I moved on.
A customer asked me about those yesterday and I don't like to leave you guys hanging, so, I took a risk and tried to machine a bending/pressing jig for those today, and it worked marvelously!

Straight knurling has always been the bane of my existence and I need to to do 60 parts with just that for my next run (Luke/vader shared stunt saber), so, today, i disassembled my lathe and drilled into 5cm of tool steel to add two strong screws to lock parts in place tightly when doing knurling.
Got better results already :-) still a little bit of testing to do but the run is in good shape :-)

I started working on my big run of Vader stunt sabers last year in May, I have been distracted by a few other things, but I have finally finished my batch of painted Barbicans for the customers that requested those :-)
It has been a long labour of love and I am extremely happy with the result, I worked really hard on the finish, making absolutely 0 compromises to get the most realistic weathering and be as close as possible to the actual Barbican saber!
I really hope that my customers will be happy with their Vader saber, but I personally think that they look really great :-)
As a matter of fact, I am keeping a production saber for my collection and will be putting my prototype saber for the run for sale, and believe me, I worked hard on this one already!

remember that the kits do not include the vacuum cleaner front sight greebly, you need to choose between the resin printed and the real cast part separately to add to your kit.

And finally, if you miss out tonight, no need to worry, another 12 kits will be released in a couple weeks or so, as soon as I finish the new batch of side plates and my wife manages to cast all the resin parts.

The finishing touch for the DL18 kits! the absolute authentic detail! Cast front sight greebly from one of the first 100% accurate found part of that very rare and very recently identified vintage vacuum cleaner part, courtesy of our good friend Teecrooz that is always a valuable help for my runs :-)
Perfect casts by the very talented Wonder Knight like the rest of the resin parts of the kit :-)

Those are used on the Falcon Targetting computer (x2), the interogation droid (x3), and as decoration on various sets from the Death Star and Falcon.

this wasn't planned, but I was asked by a customer if I could make a Luke ANH stunt saber, the aluminium tube saber, for him.
I don't like to say no, so, I have spent the last two days, researching, gathering references and working on a 3D model and photo matches of the saber, and I would like to see if there is a little bit of interest for a small run of those instead of just doing one for my customer
The idea is that i would offer the 3 main parts of the saber and people would source the regular parts, clamp, red button, glass eye, grips and bubble strip.

for this first days of 2024, I am working on bringing super accurate DL18 conversion kits :-) they are coming together nicelly. Aluminium side bars are almost done. super accurate "marker cap/cable strain relief thingy" are resin printed in an accurate grey color, sanded and polished on a polishing wheel for a nice real plastic look. Accurate vintage bakelite buttons for the scope have been molded by Wonderknight and the two first casts are curing right now.
Last piece of the puzzle are the scopes that I'm working on at the moment :-)

I can now show a few of the perspective matches I did on the 3D model to ensure every-single-possible-detail was reproduced as best as humaly possible (2 months of work! argh! this was crazy, but I'm so happy with the result!) :)

Disclaimer, I did this on 32 photos in total. Some of the details are not visible on those photos below and everything was pinpointed on several photos. Things that are not necessarily visible on those refs can be clearer on other refs.

Another teaser from our grouped project with Wonder Knight

After 2 months of work on that crazy complex prop, the Ahsoka map, the 3D model is finally finished!
I am extremely happy with the accuracy of the model, it is based on 32 images from the series camera matched in 3D to extrapolate all the details on all the faces. It was a crazy amount of work and time spent to get to this!

the 3D model is not for sale. Production on the run has now been passed over to Wonder Knight and is already on its way :-)

Doing some final assembly for the batch of finished square shroud Vader sabers! never had that many lightsabers on my bench at the same time. Looking forward to taking the same kind of photo with the Severed hand and Barbican versions as well!

Hello there,
I am now carrying blue and white 1 inch square lenses used everywhere on the Death Star and Falcon. A circle is laser engraved on the back as a diffuser to mimic as best as possible what can be seen on screen. They are 4€ per lens.
The blue is a pretty light transparent blue, choice of plexy color is limited and the lenses are very different depending on each shot in the Death Star, depending on what color they will rest, you can paint the back a darker color at your discretion :-)
