For anyone planning a day out at Newry Agricultural Show 🚜🚜🚜

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

For anyone planning to attend Newry Show on Saturday, please remember to bring cash.

There will be card facilities available but this will only be for some individual trade stands and stall holders.

Entry is £10 per adult, or £15 for 2 adults with children. Children under 16 are free.
Entrance fees to be paid in cash at the main entrance gate upon entry to the Showgrounds.

Our Food Heartland team's tour of the agri shows continues when they will host a stand at tomorrow's Armagh County Show in Gosford Park.
Once again, there will be taste sensations galore from local food and drink producers!
This year, we are also supporting an agri job fair taking place at the show where employers from across the borough will be recruiting for jobs in the agri sector.
It isn't to be missed! 🚜

Card machines are so hit and miss at events with huge crowds so please bring cash with you on the day.

As you will understand not all trade stands will be able to accept card payment so we’d encourage visitors to bring some cash.

This week was asked along to speak at Loughshore Care Partnership which is funded through Community Foundation for Northern Ireland.
We talked about the food grown in the surrounding areas & what has been grown in the past . We brought up wonderful stories about how farming WAS the community & that every family grew their own food even when they didn’t live in a rural area. Growing your own food was so important in past generations if you didn’t grow it then you didn’t eat it. It was about invoking memory’s & encouraging generations to pass on knowledge of & the joy that can bring. Food Heartland

Apple Tree Farm NI is with us all day today at our Food Heartland stand .ni. This locally grown, locally made apple juice is literally apples picked from the tree and squeezed into bottles- all natural with pure taste and no unnecessary additives!
They also make a mean sparkling apple juice and apple cider vinegar, again all from their own apple farm. Those County Armagh apples have made their way to Balmoral today so come and try some 😊
They are at our stand all day today – Friday 17 May in the NI Food and Drink
