You could get a minimum of £58.70 or up to £87.65 a week which can go a long way.

What is Carer’s Allowance?

Carer’s Allowance is a non means-tested benefit if you care for someone at least 35 hours a week. Although there is a cap on how much you can earn from work and still be entitled to the allowance. The allowance is paid at £66.15 and you do not have to be related to, or live with, the person you care for. You also do not get paid extra if you care for more than one person. You may also be entitled to apply for other benefits.

What is PIP?

Personal Independence Payment is a non means-tested benefit for people who may need extra help because of an illness, disability or mental health condition. You could get between £23.20 and £148.85 a week if you’re aged 16 or over and have not reached State Pension age.
PIP is not based on the condition you have or the medication you take; it is based on the level of help you need because of how your condition affects you. Your circumstances will be assessed and amount you receive will reflect the help you need.

What is a Blue Badge?

A Blue Badge is a permit which allows disabled people or those less able, to park a vehicle closer to the place they want to go. You can have a Blue Badge if you are the driver, or the passenger. You may be able to get the badge if you are not able to walk; have a great difficulty walking from your car to your destination; likely to harm yourself or someone else when walking; are registered blind or if you get the Higher Rate of Mobility Component in your Disability Living Allowance.
